This year for Halloween, I dressed up Jessica as a cow and she is the sweetest little bovine. James’ Mom made her costume and she looks fantastic in it, even if she isn’t the biggest fan of actually wearing the hood/hat.
Friday morning, we had a little photo shoot out in our front yard while we were waiting for her friends to arrive for the costumed play date (pictures from that to come later this week).
I made Halloween cards for eight special people this year, so if you received one, feel special. I actually picked up the die-cut card base last year as I had hoped to make cards last year, but I was preoccupied with last minute baby preparations the first half of last October and the second half was preoccupied with my brand new sweet pea. Needless to say, no one got Halloween cards from me last year. Now to get my butt in gear for 2010 Christmas cards. James is trying to convince me to just go the photo card route, but if I get started now, maybe I’ll finish by Thanksgiving.

Thanks for the card – loved it! And Jessica’s costume was just darling.
I love the cow costume! Tell James’ mom well done.
The costume was adorable. Olivia did a great job. It’s good that Jessica will have one grandmother that sews since that gene skipped me. Enjoyed the card. You must have got the gene from your Nanny that skipped me!
Jessica looks adorable in her cow costume ! I really enjoyed making it. Sewing is one of my favorite things to do. Thank you to all who have complimented me on the costume. Her expressions are just too cute ! Thank you for the Halloween card and Jessica’s thank you note. Glad she is enjoying her birthday stuff.

Thanks Jen, I’m glad you like my new blog look.
Just had to say, this was the same costume my grandson Zack wore for his first Halloween! Too cute!
