I have layouts to showcase two of the four templates to share today. This first layout is of my maternal grandparents. The journaling is from the newspaper wedding announcement the morning of their wedding day. “UNION, NJ – Miss Ethel Zander, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur G. Zander, of 314 Winfield terrace, will become the bride of Adolf Kubicek, son of Mrs. Emil Kubicek, of Vernon, Tx., and the late Mr. Kubicek, at 4 o’clock this afternoon in St. Michael’s Church. Rev. Francis A. Fox will officiate. A reception will follow at the Cobblestone Inn. The bride will be given in marriage by her father and have her sister, Miss Evelyn Zander, for her maid of honor. Raymond Zander, brother of the bride, will serve as best man. The bride will wear a strapless Chantilly lace gown, ankle length, with a matching lace jacket and a finger-tip illusion veil attached to a lace crown. She will carry an old-fashioned bouquet of white roses and pompons. A graduate of Union High School, the bride has been employed by Bristol-Meyrs Company, Hillside. Mr. Kubicek attended school in Vernon and served in the army during World War II. The bridal couple will go to Vernon, where Mr. Kubicek operates his own farm.”
