Cinderella’s Castle

Scraps N Pieces offered a six-week photoshop techniques workshop and it was free. I had a lot of fun learning how to use the PSE11 I purchased back in November. Previously, I used Corel Paintshop Pro for photo editing and Serif CraftArtist for digital scrapbooking. Now I can use PSE11 for both, although I will still be using CA for most of digital scrapbooking. It is so easy to use.

Our last week of class including cloning, healing and dodge burn techniques. I was ecstatic when I found out what the techniques for the week were, because I had the perfect photo to edit. When we went on our Disney cruise back in January, we had one day to spend at Disney World. We chose to only visit Magic Kingdom on our park hopper pass. Going during the slow season has it’s downsides, construction. The construction didn’t really affect our enjoyment of the park, but it did effect my enjoyment of this photo. Sugar Cookies

A Bunch of Layouts

I have quite a few layouts to share today.

First up is a coordinating second layout to the Sweet Berry Farm layout I shared on Friday. Journaling reads: “I tried to coordinate a pumpkin patch visit with Jessica’s playgroup friends: Millie, William and Alex. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get a day for all of us to go together. Instead, Jessica and I picked Michelle and Millie up and I drove us to Marble Falls to visit Sweet Berry Farm’s pumpkin patch. Millie and Jessica had a blast running around the pumpkins.”

The next two layouts are for my All About Me album. In Color My Life with the Colors of Music, I journaled about about my evolving music tastes. I made the layout back back in May for a challenge or two.

This layout was made during a speed scrap in September and talks about different emotions the photo from our trip to Moorea evokes now.

This fourth layout is a heritage layout made during a speed scrap back in May. It is of James’ grandparents when they were newlyweds. They’ve been married for 72 years now.

This last layout was a another speed scrap layout. I may put it in my All About Me album too. Journaling reads: “8/7/12 Cloth diapering really makes me feel good. Not only is it good for the environment, it is good for Jessica and Janette since they don’t have the chemical laden disposables touching their skin.”

Poltergeist

Karen Diamond Designs has a new release today that is spooky. It is called Poltergeist and has three of the most adorable little ghosts in it.

Here’s the paper preview.

Currently, you get the wordart and glitter as an added bonus when you purchase the kit.

I used two of those adorable little ghosts in my layout of Jessica in her fairy costume last year.

Journaling reads: “This is the only picture of Jessica wearing her Halloween costume. It was taken at JC Penney during her 2 year portraits. For some reason, she didn’t want anything to do with the fairy costume Nana made for her or any other costume either. Since Janette decided to arrive early and be a Halloween baby, it didn’t really matter that Jessica didn’t want to wear it or go trick or treating.”
