When I first saw this kit, I wasn’t sure what to scrap since I’ve never visited Washington, D.C. However, then I spied the Statue of Liberty and a light bulb went off. I pulled the pics from my high school band’s trip to NYC and scanned them. Unfortunately, a bunch of the roll of the pictures I took must have gotten overexposed. I cleaned them up as best as I could and felt pretty great to get four. The only one I was disappointed about was the small famiLEE group photo I was a part of. It wasn’t fixable. Thankfully, I did buy the 8×10 full group photo, so that got scanned as well.

I also wanted to use the new template pack and some of the great word art, so I chose to scrap this photo of my paternal grandfather. Ironically, he enlisted on February 7th, which also happens to be the birthday of his oldest (my Dad) and youngest children. Of course, they weren’t born until a number of years later. My Dad was nine when he got a sister for a birthday present.
