Most Magical Place

Today, I am sharing a fabulous Disney inspired kit by Magicals Scraps Galore. Most Magical Place is full of bright colors and is perfect for scrapping the most magical place on earth. Of course, with the balloons and banners, you could totally rock a birthday or any occasion layout as well. I’ve had this kit on my wish list since Marina of Magical Scrap Galore released it. I was so happy to have the chance to work with it this month as part of my store CT duties.

I scrapped two layouts from our Disney cruise vacation. These photos were taken almost exactly one year ago and now I finally have them scrapped.

Not Just Black and White

True North Scraps has a new release today. Not Just Black and White is a gorgeous all purpose kit. A kit of neutral colours, it is a kit that every scrapper should have in their stash. This unthemed kit allows you to make layout for every occasion. Because of its neutrality, you can use this kit to supplement any other kit. It’s perfect for those P52/P365 and Project Life albums we’ve all started.

Dawna made 24 patterned, subtle tone-on-tone and glitter papers, as well as over 50 elements for this kit.

To complement Not Just Black and White is Not Just Black and White Add-On.  The add-on is a large mini-kit with 12 papers that are mostly negative images of the papers in the main kit which helps make your LOs coordinate that much more.  I also made another 24 elements, including a very unique button frame. There are a couple elements taken from the main kit and recolored, but the majority of the elements in the Add-On are unique to it.  Dawna made the add-on as a prize for the speed scrap she was hosting (and ended up being sick so Missy from Scraps by Missy volunteered to host).

Both kits are on sale at Scraps N Pieces and Heritage Scrap for 30% off until January 23rd, and they are both included in my Grand Opening 30% Off Sale at GoDigital Scrapbooking until the end of the month.

The Good Life

Here’s my layout using one of The Good Life templates. I’m jumping on that P52 bandwagon. I’m hoping to be more successful than I have the past two years when I tried to do it.

Sassy and Classy

It’s Gotta Grab It time at Gotta Pixel. I love this month’s color swatch. GGI_012014Word Art World has five pieces for $1 each through January 17th. Sassy and Classy is definitely a girly kit, but I think it works great for heritage pages also.

When I first saw the kit previews, I noticed the typewriter and thought that it would be perfect for a photo of my Grandma hard at work. Journaling is adapted from a personal history my Aunt Karen wrote up before Alzheimer’s stole my Grandma’s memories. Journaling reads: In 1947 at age 17, HIlda obtained an apprenticeship at Kraftanlage A.G. with the help of her Uncle Rudi, who worked there as a designer. A civil enginnering firm, Kraftanlage A.G. designed underground heating. The training at the business school lasted about a year and then she became a secretary. She worked there until 1954. One of her co-workers, Ellen Stadler, set her up on a blind date November 21, 1951, which led to her future husband. Ellen’s sister, Martha Stadler, had a fiancé, Charlie Homoloc, who had a friend, John. Charlie and John were both US soldiers. Photo taken in 1953.
