Walk Gently

Sometimes the bad things that happen in our lives put us directly on the path to the best things in our life. But while we endure those bad times, or those around us do, it’s important to remember to Walk Gently on their souls and on our own. It’s easy to say get up and enjoy life when you haven’t been sucked into the depths of despair but for those that have, sometimes the only release is an artistic journey. Hopefully this kit will help you scrap those difficult times in your life and maybe, just maybe it will bring a little peace to your soul to be able to scrap the hard things. Second up is one of Janette sleeping. Journaling reads: It was the Friday of the first week of kindergarten for Jessica. The longer school day and waking up earlier didn’t phase her. However, Janette was tired by the end of the week. The girls played after school pick-up. Their playtime volume decreased quite a bit and I went to check on them. Jessica was playing in her room. I found Janette on the couch. She took a 2 hour nap.

Here’s my layout. Journaling reads: How many couples do you know that have been married for 75 years? Freda and Cecil were just 18 when they married September 10, 1940. Today, September 12, 2015, we celebrated with them as they marked this momentous milestone at a party/reunion that their daughter Kay organized.

I made two layouts. The first one is a recent doctor’s appointment. Journaling reads: While we waited in the exam room to see Dr. Siddiqui, Janette and I played with the toys in the provided toy box. She quite enjoyed the doctor’s toys. When she placed the stethoscope on the table top, I asked her if the table had a heartbeat. She replied… “Yes, it has a heartbeat, because the table is sick.”

This second one scraps a medical procedure when Jessica was just a few weeks old. Journaling reads:  Jessica had an ultrasound performed on her hips. This is a common precautionary test for breech babies. She slept the entire time, even with that cool gel. The ultrasound technicians said it would be nice if more babies were that calm. This picture was taken after they finished the test. We found out the results and everything is normal.2015-09-24_LO_Hip-Ultrasound
