Winter Play

Amy’s Designs has a new kit releasing today, Winter Play. It is a super cute winter kit with bright colors to match the bright colors of you kids snowsuits. There’s a bunch of adorable playing in the snow elements, yet enough non-themed ones to make this a super versatile kit.
I have two layouts. Surprisingly, I have two wintry layouts. The first one dates back to 1998 and the second is this past December of my two oldest nephews playing in the snow. 2014-01-23_LO_Snow-Day

Winter Games

Who is ready for the Olympics to start? Teresa, one of the Wild Princesses, mentioned that she hosts themed dinners during the Olympics to learn/celebrate a participating country. That sounds so cool to me.

Queen Wild Scraps has a new kit out today that you could use to scrap those themed dinners, watching the Olympics or participating in an Olympic winter sport. Winter Games has traditional Olympic colors, rings that you could combine to make the Olympic rings or use as frames, a variety of winter sports equipment, as well as some non-theme elements to tickle your scrapbooking fancy.

The kit also comes with a set of word bits that contain all the winter game events.Queen Wild Scraps also designed a set of eight journal cards.You can pick up Winter Games on sale for 50% off through January 30th. Here is a layout I made using Winter Games. My sister, Sarah, recently had a couples getaway weekend and they went to Steamboat Springs, CO to go skiing. I am definitely the odd duck out my siblings in that way as both my sister and brother have had couples getaways since having children where they go skiing. I’m not opposed to skiing, but I’d rather sight-see.

Beth has two awesome sporty layouts of her two sons. The second one is for the second template challenge over at SNP. Isn’t the mask work in the second one super? Henriett has a fabulous layout of some in-house skeleton action using a template from The Big Picture II. I love how she stitched down the freestyle skiing word bit in her second layout. Kendra has a great non-theme layout. Check out the fun stars. Kristal has a sweet baby boy layout. Check out her fabulous clustering. Lyndee has layout with her adorable daughter as the big winner. Teresa, our Olympic junkie, has a layout about visiting Olympic Park in Utah. Check out how she threaded the medal ribbon through her title. Most Magical Place

Today, I am sharing a fabulous Disney inspired kit by Magicals Scraps Galore. Most Magical Place is full of bright colors and is perfect for scrapping the most magical place on earth. Of course, with the balloons and banners, you could totally rock a birthday or any occasion layout as well. I’ve had this kit on my wish list since Marina of Magical Scrap Galore released it. I was so happy to have the chance to work with it this month as part of my store CT duties.

I scrapped two layouts from our Disney cruise vacation. These photos were taken almost exactly one year ago and now I finally have them scrapped.

SNP has a lot of fun challenges. This second layout was a scraplift for the January Scraplift Challenge. Janette didn’t know what to think of the cast member with the big orange character hand.

Not Just Black and White

True North Scraps has a new release today. Not Just Black and White is a gorgeous all purpose kit. A kit of neutral colours, it is a kit that every scrapper should have in their stash. This unthemed kit allows you to make layout for every occasion. Because of its neutrality, you can use this kit to supplement any other kit. It’s perfect for those P52/P365 and Project Life albums we’ve all started.

Dawna made 24 patterned, subtle tone-on-tone and glitter papers, as well as over 50 elements for this kit.

To complement Not Just Black and White is Not Just Black and White Add-On. The add-on is a large mini-kit with 12 papers that are mostly negative images of the papers in the main kit which helps make your LOs coordinate that much more. I also made another 24 elements, including a very unique button frame. There are a couple elements taken from the main kit and recolored, but the majority of the elements in the Add-On are unique to it. Dawna made the add-on as a prize for the speed scrap she was hosting (and ended up being sick so Missy from Scraps by Missy volunteered to host).

Both kits are on sale at Scraps N Pieces and Heritage Scrap for 30% off until January 23rd, and they are both included in my Grand Opening 30% Off Sale at GoDigital Scrapbooking until the end of the month.

I really enjoyed working with this kit and have two layouts to share. The first is from a trip Freddy’s for lunch and frozen custard when my in-laws and nephew recently visited.
