On the Boardwalk

Posted on by

The July SNP store collab is really fun this month. On the Boardwalk has a great color scheme that would be perfect for patriotic layouts, but it is wide enough to be used for a variety of layouts. I love the quantity of floral elements in it, plus the themed elements are really lively. Check out that neat patio chair.

I decided to scrap photos from a birthday party at Kiddie Acres. I got on a roll and scrapped five pages to cover the event.

Journaling reads: January 11, 2014 Harper invited Jessica to her 4th birthday party. It was held at Kiddie Acres, a neat amusement park in north Austin geared to children 10 and younger. Initially, Jessica wasn’t too sure about some of the rides, but seeing her friends enjoy the rides prompted her to give them a try. Jessica and Janette’s first ride was the miniature train. James rode with them while I snapped photos. It wasn’t long before they rode just about every ride, except the pony ride. The weather ended up being really nice and it was a beautiful time celebrating Harper’s birthday.

Journaling reads: Each guest was given their very own unicorn horn as a party favor. Jessica loved it and wore it quite a bit during the party. You could tell that Lena, Harper’s mom, put a lot of effort into making them.2015-07-20_LO_Kiddie-Acres-3

I mad a layout of some photos with friends. Journaling reads: It is always nice to get away from those little people who seem to constantly need us and just relax and eat a meal without interuptions. It is even better when it is a meal with friends, good conversation and much laughter. March 10, 2015: MOPS Dinner Night at Casa Arandinas

Spelunking

Posted on by

Adventure doesn’t always happen above ground; take your scrapbook to new depths with Spelunking. This bold kit captures adventures inside caves (and the trek to get to said caves too). Spelunking comes with pattern and solid papers, tons of elements, thematic word art, and a fun stitched alpha. Featured elements include a hard hat, lantern, rope, compass, carabiner, and cave signs. Document your underground adventures today.  Great for caving, spelunking, rock climbing, rapelling, hiking and camping.

You can pick up this kit on sale this week for 1/2 off from both our My Memories store and our Scraps N Pieces store.  The cardstocks are FREE with download!

I have three layouts to share using Spelunking. First up is a family photo when we visited Natural Bridge Caverns on Father’s Day. I have a ton more photos to scrap (this one I bought from the caverns photographer), but I’m waiting on James to install my new hard drive. I haven’t downloaded the photos off my camera card since March.

These next two layouts use some photos from when I was a kid. I had scanned the slides before I started having hard drive space constraints.

The CT came through with flying colors with this kit.  Lori was worried we wouldn’t have pictures to go with it, but we are an adventurous bunch it appears.
