Five Layouts
I realized I have a back log of layouts I haven’t shared here on my blog yet, so here are a number of them in no particular order.
This layout features Janette on her first day wearing her orthotic helmet.
Digikits: Queen Wild Scraps – all but 1 paper from Sweet Baby Girl, 1 paper and all ellies but 1 flower from Forty Weeks and 1 flower from Little Princess
Template: Amy’s Designs – SNP Template Challenge February 16-28, 2013
Fonts: Minnie, Kiss Me Quick and Life BT
I’m really happy with how this next layout, a speed scrap layout, turned out. I made it shortly after finding out my Dad had been diagnosed with cancer and I wanted to document how I am really my father’s daughter. It garnered me a layout of the day award at Scrapbookbytes.
Journaling reads: My Dad and I both enjoy taking photos and planning trips. I definitely know that my desire to type up an itinerary and label my photos comes from him. We also both like to read historical markers and look at maps. Out of all of my siblings, I am the only one who takes just as many photos of the architecture as my Dad. He’s always there when I need his advice. I can’t imagine life without him.
Digikit: Wendy Tunison Designs – World Traveler; camera from An Extraordinary Life, scatter from Two Hearts
Fonts: One Starry Night (title); Annie BTN (journal and date)
This layout was made during my photoshop techniques class. The technique was align and distribute, which I used on the title and subtitle.
Digikit: Karen Diamond Designs – Nature’s Beauty
Alpha: Designs by Shari – Daily Inspiration (Connie Prince freebie)
Template: Connie Prince – Sea the World

This was another speed scrap layout. It’s interesting how for the most part my most recent vacation destinations are my favorite.
Digikit: Wendy Tunison Designs – World Traveler; Keystone Scraps – World Traveler, World Traveler Beach Escape, World Traveler Bonus Alpha
Font: Doctor Soos Light
This is about our neighborhood’s Christmas party. Journaling reads: Before leaving the holiday party, we paused on the community center lawn so the girls could run and twirl in the falling “snow” from the snow machine.
Digikit: Queen Wild Scraps – Winter Wonderland
Alpha: Karen Diamond Designs – Everlasting Love

I hope you enjoyed these layouts. I’ll be back with more later this week showcasing some new kits.
Cinderella’s Castle
Scraps N Pieces offered a six-week photoshop techniques workshop and it was free. I had a lot of fun learning how to use the PSE11 I purchased back in November. Previously, I used Corel Paintshop Pro for photo editing and Serif CraftArtist for digital scrapbooking. Now I can use PSE11 for both, although I will still be using CA for most of digital scrapbooking. It is so easy to use.
Our last week of class including cloning, healing and dodge burn techniques. I was ecstatic when I found out what the techniques for the week were, because I had the perfect photo to edit. When we went on our Disney cruise back in January, we had one day to spend at Disney World. We chose to only visit Magic Kingdom on our park hopper pass. Going during the slow season has it’s downsides, construction. The construction didn’t really affect our enjoyment of the park, but it did effect my enjoyment of this photo. A crane sticking out of the back of Cinderella’s castle.
But look what a little cloning can do! Here’s that same photo used in a layout.
Digikit: Trixie Scraps Designs – If the Slipper Fits; brads from Karen Diamond Designs – Blowing Bubbles
