Blast Off

Posted on by

The Bits N Pieces from Amy’s Designs is called Blast Off. Amy previewed it to the CT right at the beginning of April when we had just got back from our trip to Keller for our nephew Cameron’s 4th birthday.

As soon as I saw it, I knew it would be perfect to scrap his party since he had a rocket cake with a blue and yellow decor. Here’s the double page layout. I’ve painted over the faces of the kids I don’t know. I know some parents are particular about their kids being on the internet.

Journaling on left page reads: In addition to doing all the setup and cleanup, Brandi, the church’s party host, got all the kids together to pose for a group photo with the birthday boy prior to singing “Happy Birthday” and eating cake.”

Journaling on right page on large photo reads: “Party Details: March 31, 2012 at 1 PM The Hills Church of Christ

Next up is an adventure in space.

April Sketch for You to Try

Posted on by

Here’s my card using the April Sketch for You to Try. I didn’t have a sentiment that I felt would fit size-wise, so I will just put one on the inside when I decide what it needs to be. You can’t tell very well by my photo, but the leaves, the fairy wings, and part of the mushroom were colored with atYou Spica markers and shimmer in real life. Because of that bling, I’m also submitting this for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #161 to make a card or project with spring bling.

Stamps: Steady On (Yours Truly) – Fairy Tattoo
Cardstock: Stampin’ Up Whisper White, Cameo Coral, Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Rose Red
Designer Paper: Stampin’ Up don’t remember the line right now
Ink: Dell laser printer
Tools: Stampin’ Up markers; atYou Spica markers

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

The Final Frontier

Scraps-N-Pieces does this awesome thing at the beginning of each month (it started last month) called Bits N Pieces. Each of the store designers put together minikits or paper packs or whatever that you can pick up for $1 each for the first week of the month. Each bit follows the same color palette and theme, so you can get yourself an awesome mega kit.

This month the Bits N Pieces theme is space! Isn’t it fun? Queen Wild Scraps created a mini for this month:

My layout uses photos taken in my sister’s backyard when we visited at the end of March for my nephew Cameron’s birthday.

National Scrapbook Day ~ SNP Teaser

Posted on by

Did you know that National Scrapbooking Day is coming up? It is the first Saturday in May each year. Scraps-N-Pieces, the main forum/store I am active in, is hosting all kinds of fun things.

I can’t blog about National Scrapbooking Day and not post a scrapbook layout. So here’s a layout I recently completed of an old photo.
