Hush Little Baby

Posted on by

You might remember me blogging about a trip to Cameron Park Zoo in Waco last April (see that post here). Well today I am sharing two layouts to remember that visit. Looking at the pictures of Jessica from almost a year ago make her seem so small and compliant. I can almost never get her to willingly let me do her hair.

If you like this first one, I’ll be sharing a freebie QP of it at the end of the post.

Both of these layouts were made with a sweet little kit out today by Queen Wild Scraps. Perfect for any baby photos, it can also be used for almost anything else as it contains several non-themed elements as well.

Here’s a look at what the Wild Princesses did with the kit – make sure you click on their freebie preview to go to their blog to download the freebie.

Happy 30th Birthday Sarah!

Posted on by

My sister turned 30 yesterday on February 4th. Sarah and I have that special bond that only sisters can have. Sometimes I feel like she is the older sister, maybe because she had kids before I did and I often ask for her advice regarding children. Although growing up, I was definitely the bossy older sister. Sarah, I hope you enjoy this card I made you.

I used The Sweet Stop Sketch #143.

Sarah's Birthday Card

Stamps: The Cat’s Pajamas Smells Like Cake, You Say It’s Your Birthday
Cardstock: Stampin’ Up Whisper White, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Taken with Teal
Designer Paper: Stampin’ Up Sweet Pea
Ink: Stazon Jet Black; Stampin Up Taken with Teal
Tools: Stampin’ Up heart border punch

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

My Girl

Posted on by

Today is release day for the fabulous new digikit My Girl by Amy’s Designs. Amy designed it with the color scheme and elements of her daughter’s bedroom in mind.

It is perfect for those girly layouts. I’m sure you could use it for layouts that aren’t too girly, but the rest of the creative team had girl on the brain too. You can see their layouts here.

I have two layouts that use it. One I shared Monday.

Too Cute Layout

The second layout also uses one of the photos from Janette’s newborn photo shoot. This was my favorite from the shoot with Kristie Woodworth Photography. We ordered an 11×14 print of it. I think I will use the layout for the cover page of Janette’s scrapbook album.

Love, Love Me Do

I have a layout to share today that I am really really pleased with how it turned out. It uses 5 of the photos from Janette’s newborn photo shoot by Kristie Woodworth Photography. I was beyond pleased with how the photo shoot went, so if you’re in the Austin area and looking for a photographer, I totally recommend Kristie.

This layout uses two brand new products: a digikit by Amy’s Designs that I will talk about on Wednesday and a template.

The template I used is one of five in the set that was released today by Queen Wild Scraps These templates are perfect for Valentine’s Day. They’re not on sale just yet but starting on Wednesday Lahni will be the featured designer at Scraps N Pieces and her whole store will be on sale!

Check out these templates – don’t they look fun? And don’t forget they now include page and sbpage files for SBC users!
