Sweet Summer Sunset

Posted on July 18, 2014 by Jennifer

Scraps N Pieces has seven new releases this week!

The first is a fan kit called Sweet Summer Sunset that was the request winner during their Featured Designer spot a couple months ago. It was the Free with $10 purchase kit up through today and then goes into their shop as a regular product tomorrow. They have it on sale for those of you that didn’t pick it up free. It will be 1/2 off at both Scraps N Pieces and My Memories for a few days.

This fun freebie shown below is available to their newsletter subscribers. Make sure you are subscribed before their July 23rd newsletter is published so you can get it.

They also have 6 new QP packs in the store. Their newsletter subscribers will find a special coupon for these in the July 23rd edition of the newsletter, so just another reason to subscribe now. There is a link up above. These sets are available in both of their stores.

Here are two layouts I made using Sweet Summer Sunset. These are from our Disney cruise in 2013.

Now I See

Posted on July 12, 2014 by Jennifer

Connie Prince has created the cutest collection for the July Gotta Grab It Sale at Gotta Pixel and the sale starts today! The core GGI packs are on sale $1 each. A convenient “get them all” bundle is available, too. The additional coordinating packs are on sale for $1.25 each as well. I’m only sharing the previews of the bundle and elements pack. Be sure to check out all the packs at Connie’s Gotta Pixel store.

I had my yearly eye exam last week and decided it was time Jessica had her first eye exam too. That allowed for some great photos to scrap with this kit.

First up is about Jessica’s exam. Journaling reads: I felt that it was about time for Jessica to have her first eye exam, so I scheduled an appointment for her directly after my exam. At first she was a little unsure, but she did great! Her vision is a touch far-sighted, but is typical for kids her age and she will probably outgrow it.

Next up is a layout with Janette trying on frames. Journaling reads: Jessica and I had our eyes dilated as part of our eye exams. While we waited for the drops to work their dilation magic, we went out to the waiting area to check out frames to pass the time. Janette really liked this pink pair. She kept calling them sunglasses, the only kind of glasses she normally wears, and wanted to take them home. I told her she couldn’t, but she could take home the roll-up style sunglasses they give you after dilating your eyes. That placated her.

July Template Bundle

Connie Prince’s July Template Bundle is on sale now! Four full size packs (that’s 16 templates) for just $3.99! Big picture spaces, multiple photo layouts, lots of paper pieces, and lots of white space are the 4 themes.

I have a layout using The Big Picture Vol 7. It also uses the recent release Bon Voyage. The pictures are from our Disney cruise in January 2013. Journaling reads: “The motor coach drove us back to Port Canaveral to the cruise ship terminal. While we walked through the terminal, we came across this neat model of our ship.”

This weeks Friday favorite Antiquities & Curiosities was picked by North Star Dawn. She loves the rich colors of Autumn, and that it’s a very easy-to-work-with kit and is so versatile. There are 14 papers with such wonderful depth and texture. There are also 28 unique elements – and unique is almost an understatement! She enjoys working with this kit so much she has made a freebie from some of her favorite pieces in the kit.
