Ann’s Grace

Posted on by

Today, I’m going tell you about a new kit called Ann’s Grace from Karen Diamond Designs. It has my favorite color as the main color, so it must be awesome. It totally  is. I love the little butterfly. It has 20 papers and 33 elements and it can be used to scrap just about anything.

The majority of the time, Jessica and/or Janette are the subjects of my layouts. This time, I’ve included me. James is pretty good about making sure I’m in a number of pictures too.

A Few Layouts

I have a few layouts to share today. These were done for various challenges at the two forums I frequent.

First up was one completed during a fun speed scrap on April 27th.

Digikits: Amy’s Design Playground; brown stitches from Amy’s Designs – For the Birds
Wordart: Word Art World – Swap 66
Font: Times New Roman (date)

The next two were done for interNational Scrapbooking Day challenges last weekend. The first one uses a topsy turvy template.

Digikit: Connie Prince – Backyard BBQ Kit and Word Bits
Template: iNSD Topsy Turvy
Font: Pea Rachael

The challenge on this next one was to have white space.

Digikits: Amy’s Designs – Flashback; Amy’s Designs – Beautiful Life; Robyn Gough Designs – Floral Fancy
Wordart: Word Art World – Swap 59
Fonts: Talking to the Moon (date)

Adventures in Space

The Bits N Pieces from Karen Diamond Designs is called Adventures in Space. You can pick up the elements and the papers for only $1 each this week only.

I’m sharing another double page layout showcasing the rest of our nephew Cameron’s 4th birthday party. It was held at a really neat place. For my layout’s composition I was inspired by this fabulous layout by gwalters.

Digikit: Karen Diamond Designs – Adventures in Space
Templates: Karen Diamond Designs – Border Curves Templates
Font: Monkey Phonics BRK (title); MA Googly Bear (title); Milk & Cereal

Journaling on left page reads: “The kids enjoyed the giant indoor playscape. Jessica was cautious and wouldn’t go all the way to the top to go down the slide.”

Journaling on right page reads: “Another awesome idea from the party host: two chairs for present opening time, one for Cameron and one for the gift giver.”

Blast Off

The Bits N Pieces from Amy’s Designs is called Blast Off. Amy previewed it to the CT right at the beginning of April when we had just got back from our trip to Keller for our nephew Cameron’s 4th birthday.

As soon as I saw it, I knew it would be perfect to scrap his party since he had a rocket cake with a blue and yellow decor. Here’s the double page layout. I’ve painted over the faces of the kids I don’t know. I know some parents are particular about their kids being on the internet.

Journaling on left page reads: In addition to doing all the setup and cleanup, Brandi, the church’s party host, got all the kids together to pose for a group photo with the birthday boy prior to singing “Happy Birthday” and eating cake.”

Journaling on right page on large photo reads: “Party Details: March 31, 2012 at 1 PM The Hills Church of Christ

Next up is an adventure in space.

The Final Frontier

Posted on by

Scraps-N-Pieces does this awesome thing at the beginning of each month (it started last month) called Bits N Pieces. Each of the store designers put together minikits or paper packs or whatever that you can pick up for $1 each for the first week of the month. Each bit follows the same color palette and theme, so you can get yourself an awesome mega kit.

This month the Bits N Pieces theme is space! Isn’t it fun? Queen Wild Scraps created a mini for this month:

My layout uses photos taken in my sister’s backyard when we visited at the end of March for my nephew Cameron’s birthday.
