Family is Everything

Posted on July 21, 2016 by Jennifer

Sometimes, the most important stories we tell aren’t about adventures; they’re about the quiet moments that happen at home. The latest kit from Scraps N Pieces, Family is Everything, celebrates the most important people in our lives: our families. This cool-colored kit combines robin’s egg and navy blues with neutrals and white for a relaxing, timeless feel. Family is Everything contains traditional, understated elements that don’t compete with your priceless photos. Featured elements include cameras, clocks, thematic word art, and a subtle gray alpha. Whether you use it on its own or combine it with other kits you love, the emphasis is on the people in your pages with Family is Everything. It is available at Scraps N Pieces and My Memories.

I made two layouts using photos from almost exactly one year ago on our Alaskan cruise. The colors of our outfits are almost a perfect match.

Slip-n-Slide

Posted on July 1, 2016 by Jennifer

Summertime is all about fun in the sun, but the best way to beat the heat is playing in the water. Scraps N Pieces’ contribution to this month’s Bits N Pieces, Slip-n-Slide, celebrates one of the best summertime activities: visiting a waterpark. Slip-n-Slide’s bright, playful color palette screams ‘fun!’, while its hand-drawn elements complement your photos perfectly. Featured elements include water slides, tubes, word art, and a blue flair alpha. Prefer lazy days at home to a lazy river? Slip-n-Slide’s bold patterned papers, summery glitter papers, and traditional elements complement all types of sunny photos and play well with other kits. Enjoy your fun in the sun and scrap with a splash with Slip-n-Slide.

You can get each part of this collection for only $1.00 each through July 7th. Previews are linked.

I have three layouts to share. First up is a recent photo of Janette and her friend Leah at the YMCA pool. I love this photo.

Floating Along

Posted on June 30, 2016 by Jennifer

Connie Prince release a really fun kit called Floating Along two weeks ago. I was really sad that I couldn’t work with it then since I was on vacation, but I was lucky enough to work on it now. It was a bonus that it worked perfectly with the vacation photos when I missed my chance to work with it at release. You can find the kit and all coordinating packs at Ginger Scraps, Gotta Pixel, and The Digi Chick.

I did a double page layout of one of the waterfalls we saw on our recent North Carolina and Georgia vacation.

Chase the Sun

It’s Gotta Grab It time and this month’s colors are so pretty.

Connie Prince’s release for Gotta Grab It is all about the sun. Chase the Sun is perfect for sunset and sunrise photos. The previews of the items I used are linked below, but there are few more packs available also.

I decided to scrap this dusk ride on the San Antonio Zoo Eagle Train.
