My Little Green Thumb

Posted on August 20, 2015 by Jennifer

No matter the season, there is always fun to be found in a garden. My Little Green Thumb brings the joy of gardening—spring, summer, and fall—to your scrapbook pages. This sweet (and savory) kit contains 24 patterned papers and tons of fun gardening elements that capture the happiness of having a green thumb. Featured elements include seed packets, earthworms, gardening implements, birds, bees, ladybugs, flowers, banners, and buttons. My Green Thumb also comes with a cute alphabet, perfect for labeling your tasty harvest photos. Document how your memories grow with My Little Green Thumb. This kit was made by request from Scraps N Pieces’ FB Manager, Stephanie!

You can get it at Scraps N Pieces for 1/2 off this week and it will be in the My Memories store in the next couple of days as well.

Scraps N Pieces also has these awesome CU packs for those of you that are designers. They are also on sale at Scraps N Pieces this week.

I have three layouts to share with you today. First up is a layout with pictures of my grandparent’s summer garden when I was a kid. It was humongous. That’s my sister in the smaller photo, looking towards the road in front of their house. That’s my Mom and I stooped down with my sister and grandfather behind us. I think we might be picking blackberries. I have vague recollections of blackberries.

This second layout contains pictures of the rooftop garden at the Fairmont Waterfront hotel in Vancouver, where we stayed last month before our Alaskan cruise. Journaling reads: Since we had a little time before our bus picked us up for our morning tour, we headed up to level three to explore the rooftop gardens. Located on the south side of the hotel tower, the kitchen garden contained a variety of fruits and veggies.

Good Times

Posted on August 9, 2015 by Jennifer

It’s Gotta Grab It time at Gotta Pixel.

Word Art World put together a really awesome contribution this month. It can be used for a variety of photo subjects. Good Times is available as five separate pieces for $1 each or you can buy all five for $5.

I decided to scrap two pages from our recent Alaskan cruise vacation. These two pages are from the first day of our vacation in Vancouver.

Journaling reads: After Jessica and Janette went to bed, I went on a walk around our hotel with Sarah. Rylan, who took a super late nap, and Cameron joined us. We went to a nearby pharmacy for me to pick up an item I forgot to pack. Then we wandered around looking for a snack for Cameron. I, of course, snapped a few pics while on our walk. The store with our last name warranted a pic, as well as the views across the harbor.

Journaling reads: Cameron really wanted to use the escalator, so when we arrived back at the hotel, he went down the stairs to the food court level and came back up the escalator.

At the Stroke of Midnight & Start Your Engines

Posted on August 6, 2015 by Jennifer

Cinderella is a tale of magic and wish fulfillment, stitched together from equal parts hard work and happily ever after. At the Stroke of Midnight captures the diverse color palettes of the ball and her day-to-day life and is versatile enough to add a little magic to your memories. This kit is packed full of sparkle, patterned papers, and Cinderella’s classic shade of blue, dropping hints of the story like her lost glass slipper. In addition to thematic elements, this kit is a treasure trove of flowers, ribbons, and bows—perfect for everyday scrapbook pages too. At The Stroke of Midnight comes with two different alphas to mix-and-match and make all your wishes come true. This kit comes with TWO extra packs – glitters and a set of damask papers! PLUS an extra alpha!

I made two layouts. First up is a layout from last Halloween of Jessica dressed up as Cinderella.

Then I used the more colorful aspects of the kit to scrap a page about meeting Drizella, one of Cinderella’s wicked stepsisters, last summer at Disney World. I need to do a coordinating page for meeting Anastasia, the other stepsister.

I have one layout using Start Your Engines. It’s from the Alaskan cruise we just returned from last week. There is an area of the Disney Wonder, the ship we cruised on, that is called the Route 66 entertainment district.

Spelunking

Posted on July 9, 2015 by Jennifer

Adventure doesn’t always happen above ground; take your scrapbook to new depths with Spelunking. This bold kit captures adventures inside caves (and the trek to get to said caves too). Spelunking comes with pattern and solid papers, tons of elements, thematic word art, and a fun stitched alpha. Featured elements include a hard hat, lantern, rope, compass, carabiner, and cave signs. Document your underground adventures today. Great for caving, spelunking, rock climbing, rapelling, hiking and camping.

You can pick up this kit on sale this week for 1/2 off from both our My Memories store and our Scraps N Pieces store. The cardstocks are FREE with download!

I have three layouts to share using Spelunking. First up is a family photo when we visited Natural Bridge Caverns on Father’s Day. I have a ton more photos to scrap (this one I bought from the caverns photographer), but I’m waiting on James to install my new hard drive. I haven’t downloaded the photos off my camera card since March.

These next two layouts use some photos from when I was a kid. I had scanned the slides before I started having hard drive space constraints.
