American Spirit

Today is release day for a very patriotic kit from Amy’s Designs called American Spirit. It is perfect to scrap photos taken at all the Independence Day festivities you attend next week. Amy has it half off this first week.

And here’s a preview of the papers.

I have two layouts showcasing this kit. They’re both from our neighborhood’s 4th of July festivities last year.

Playing Catch-Up…

I am behind in sharing a number of my crafty creations. Today, I will share a few layouts.

Next up is a layout of Jessica helping bake cookies November 30, 2011. Journaling reads “Jessica helped me bake Sugar Drop cookies to take to my MOPS meeting the following day. She enjoyed rolling the cookie dough in sugar and placing on the cookie sheet, at least for a little while.” I made this during a speed scrap in May.

And finally here is a layout of Janette when she fell asleep in her high chair. Journaling reads: “Janette is going through a stage where she is not a very good napper. She will only take 2-3 little catnaps during the day. You know this really takes its toll when she falls asleep while you’re trying to feed her peas. May 10, 2012 – 6 months old” This was also made during a speed scrap. Do you like my cheesy title? 😉 FYI, her napping has improved since these photos were taken, at least most of the time.

Let’s Play

Today is release day for an awesome new kit from Amy’s Designs. It is called Let’s Play and it is perfect for photos of your kids playing.

You know I have lots of photos of Jessica and Janette playing. The two layouts I’m sharing today though are just of Jessica.

First up is Little People Line-Up. Journaling reads: Jessica really enjoys her little people. She carries them all around the house and mixes up the farm little people with the princess carriage little people and even has them climb up the stairs she builds with her blocks. Jessica also apparently has some of her Mama in her, because even though she doesn’t line up lunch boxes at Mother’s Day Out, she lines up little people at home.

Next up is Moon Dough. Journaling reads: We started off the day by playing with Jessica’s two Moon Dough sets, first the farm and then the food set. We began with me helping her make the animals and hay, but she soon got into it and it kept her occupied for almost two hours.

Centre of Attention

Queen Wild has a while new set of templates for you. She wanted the photos to be the Centre of Attention and she did that by placing the photos in the center of the templates. These new templates will be 40% off through Friday so make sure to pick them up while they’re still on sale!

I decided to scrap some very recent photos with these templates. First up is one with the girls eating lunch. Journaling reads: “Mealtime is often quite an ordeal as Jessica is currently quite the picky eater and sometimes doesn’t eat much. She eats a lot of sandwiches, like at least one per day. At least now, she no longer picks off the lunchmeat and she gets some protein. This day, she had pretty much devoured her sandwich before James and I had finished reheating leftovers for us. Usually, she lollygags and isn’t finished eating until well after the rest of us are done. After eating her sandwich and some fruit, I gave her some jello and also a few M&Ms. I don’t know a kid who doesn’t like M&Ms and Jessica is no exception. Janette eats pretty well at mealtime if she is hungry. She loves sweet potatoes. It is so fun to watch her stick out her tongue and try to get the sweet potato off the spoon before I can even get the spoon in her mouth. June 1, 2012”
