Furry Friends

Posted on by

This week Connie Prince has a huge new collection available in all of her stores. This one focuses on our furry friends and will be perfect to document all of your pet memories! There are three bundles available at a great discount or you can purchase the packs individually, on sale 40% off through July 25!

Available at: Connie Prince Store, Ginger Scraps, Gotta Pixel, & Scrapbook-Bytes.

The big bundle has both collections for cats & dogs!

Or if you prefer the smaller bundles for just Cats or Dogs! cap_puppydogsbundle

There are some additional packs (not included in the bundles): Alpha Add-on, Word Bits, Kitty Cats Word Art, Kitty Cats Flair Pack, Kitty Cats Cluster Pack, Kitty Cat Quick Pages, Puppy Dogs Word Art, Puppy Dogs Flair Pack, Puppy Dogs Cluster Pack and Puppy Dogs Quick Pages. These are on sale 40% off too!

I have a layout to share that uses the Puppy Dogs kit and border clusters. I took these photos of my sister-in-law Julia and their dog Bella at Thanksgiving 2007. Although, technically at the time, Julia and Jason were just engaged.

I went to the doctor today, since I haven’t been feeling well. I have strep throat. Hopefully, no one else in the house gets it.

Lake Life

Connie Prince has a fabulous new kit available to purchase at her stores (Scrapbookbytes, Gingerscraps, Gotta Pixel, and her personal store). Lake Life is perfect for your photos at the lake, or fishing, or just general nature photos.

As usual, Connie has a bunch of coordinating packs, but I’m only showing the ones I used in today’s layouts.

I also used one of Connie’s new template sets. This is part of July’s Templatetopia.

When I first saw this kit, I thought I would scrap photos of the Dzubinski family reunion at Lake Whitney last summer, but I realized that I didn’t have very many lake photos. Instead I decided to dig deep into my photo stash and pulled out these gems from 2003.

I ended up making a second layout with another gem of an old photo. This is my baby brother and my maternal grandfather back in summer of 1993.

We’re enjoying the cooler weather the rain has brought our way. Can you believe yesterday’s high was only 78°F? The average for this time of year is 96°F. We had planned on eating outside for dinner last night, but discovered a hornet nest up in the corner of the patio ceiling.

I have a layout that definitely allows for time-stopping. This is Jessica when she was only seven months old. Journaling reads: “On our way back home, we stopped in San Angelo to have lunch with Uncle Chuck and Rose. Before putting Jessica back into her car seat to head to the restaurant, we let her “drive” with Daddy. She certainly enjoys steering wheels. After eating, we stopped at the playground across the Concho River from the Chamber of Commerce to let Jessica play.”

Backlog of Layouts

I have a backlog of layouts I haven’t shared on my blog yet, so today I’m sharing seven of them. These were all created in the last two months of so.

First up, I have a few layouts of James. Here he is as a baby.

And here he is on our wedding day. This is the very first layout I’ve actually scrapped of our wedding and to think we’ve been married 9 years now.

Then I have a layout of both Jessica and Janette. Journaling reads: “Jessica and Janette both love playing on my phone. It’s a good thing we have a Galaxy Player also, so they can both play at the same time. April 4, 2013”

We’re having a busy week. It’s Vacation Bible School at our church. Jessica is attending for the first time (you have to be 3 and potty trained). Janette is in the nursery for volunteer’s children. And I’m doing crafts with the 3, 4, and 5 year-olds. I hope your week is great.
