A Winter Wonderland and Template Pack 11

Welcome to a new year at Scraps N Pieces. Heidi and Lori are so grateful for this past year and all of their wonderful customers. They have so many fun things planned for this next year and they are starting it off with their contribution to January Bits N Pieces – A Woodland Winter.

With a light dusting of snow on the ground, everywhere becomes a winter wonderland. A Woodland Winter celebrates the cheerful yet muted tones of the world after a fresh snowfall and draws upon delightful winter imagery, turning every single layout into a snowy spectacular. Featured elements include snowmen, owls, birds (with stocking caps), ornaments, and snowflakes galore. The muted pastel tones add a pop of color to winter, keeping spirits bright until springtime. Celebrate the snowy joy outside your door with A Woodland Winter.

The pieces this month are a stitched alpha, a paper pack, a cardstock pack, and an element pack. In addition, Heidi and Lori are releasing Template Pack 11. These items are just $1 through the 7th of January and are exclusive to their Scraps N Pieces store right now.

I don’t really get a winter wonderland in my area of the country, but this kit is versatile. I have two non-snowy layouts. These are from our Christmas celebration with my side of the family this year.

Hush Little Baby

True North Scraps also has some pieces in the Bits N Pieces sale at SNP this month. You can pick up each of the three Hush Little Baby pieces for $1 each today through July 7th. It is perfect to scrap baby photos, especially baby boy photos. Dawna really created some cute ellies. My favorite is the stork.

Having no baby boys of my own, I thought I would scrap my youngest sweet nephew. Eli will be one next month.

Express Yourself

Express Yourself is this month’s SNP Store Collab. It is geared toward the art journaling style of scrapping.Now art journaling isn’t really my style. In fact, when I found out that this month’s store collab was art journaling, I was actually a little disappointed. However, I decided to challenge myself and scrap outside of my comfort zone. It helped that I saw a layout on Facebook with word bits of the scrapper’s roles in life just a day before I picked up Express Yourself. That layout totally inspired me. This first layout was the result. And I have to say, maybe I’ll be a convert to art journaling yet. I really like how this turned out.

Then I decided I needed to see how Express Yourself could work for more traditional layouts. The result was this layout of my sweet nephew. I also used a template from the new Something Simple Vol. 2 template set by Queen Wild Scraps.

First and Goal

So how did you like that game? Super huh? I hope your team won. True North Scraps has a fun new kit called First and Goal. I actually used the kit to scrap a team that wasn’t even in the big game. This is a layout of my brother and his kids celebrating a victory by his favorite team.
