I decided to scrap some of the photos from the girls’ first camping trip with their American Heritage Girls’ scout troop this past fall. We had a lot of fun at Bastrop State Park and have plans to go camping again soon.

Rustic Winter

Posted on December 23, 2016 by Jennifer

There’s just something about those long winter nights that feels like a glimpse back in time. Scraps N Pieces’ latest kit, Rustic Winter, celebrates those timeless seasonal traditions like watching snow fall in front of a streetlight, sledding with family and friends, and curling up in front of a crackling fire. The rich color palette complements your photos-and makes snowy whites pop-without distracting from your story. This kit’s blend of lightly patterned and textured papers work equally well for heirloom scrapping and the story of a December day, while the elements add a timeless quality to your layouts. Featured elements include snowflakes, a sled, pine needles and holly boughs, ephemera, a candle-lit lantern, pine cones, and fabric flowers. Rustic Winter also comes with a sparkly alpha to add a sprinkle of glitter to your page. Bring the spirit of the season to your scrapbooking with Rustic Winter.

Previews are linked to purchase.

I made one layout and a calendar page. The layout is of my great-greatparents (my maternal grandmother’s parents).

For All Who Truly Believe

Posted on December 12, 2016 by Jennifer

Christmastime is a season of wonder, as snowflakes dance in the breeze and families gather around their Christmas trees. If your family reads The Polar Express as part of your Yuletide celebrations, you will love For All Who Truly Believe. This bright, playful kit draws on the magic of The Polar Express to bring extra cheer to your scrapbooking pages. For All Who Truly Believe is full of timeless seasonal motif papers, gently textured solids, and colorful glitter papers to bring an added sparkle. But it’s the elements that make this kit truly shine. Kids–and those young at heart—will fall in love with the whimsical hand-drawn Polar Express, conductor’s hat, round trip ticket, and Santa himself. There are also elements depicting Santa’s sleigh, stockings and bags full of gifts, candy canes, Christmas trees, and the infamous bell itself. For All Who Truly Believe also comes with a timeless red alpha for titling your pages. Make the most amazing memories all December long and scrap the magic with For All Who Truly Believe.

Our newest kit is available at Scraps N Pieces and My Memories for 1/2 off the 8-14th of this month. Grab it while it is on sale.

It’s hard to tell in this preview, but the alpha is glittered wood and so pretty!

I have two layouts to share. They are from our recent visit to Llano’s Starry Starry Nights. We try to go after Thanksgiving or near Christmas on our way to/from Midland. It really is the greatest little trail of lights.

Movin on Up!

Posted on December 3, 2016 by Jennifer

Home is where the heart is, but sometimes we get to relocate our hearts. Movin On Up! celebrates moving and all the hard work that goes into making a new home. The playful color scheme complements everyone’s décor, while the fun patterned papers don’t clash with the wallpaper (or the tile). Corrugated cardboard textured papers echo those ubiquitous moving boxes, while the solid papers inject a sense of calm. The elements in this kit are what really bring it home, complete with actually houses, For Sale and Sold signs, and a moving truck. Other featured elements include permanent markers, boxes galore, “this end up” word art, and banners, elements, and flowers to decorate your pages. Movin On Up even comes with a corrugated cardboard alpha for putting your name—or page title—on your new home. Unpack your new photos and stories of home with Movin On Up! Grab the item’s for this kit while they are only a $1.00 each.
