Country Christmas

Posted on December 15, 2014 by Jennifer

Keystone Scraps has an awesome new kit out as part of Gotta Grab It. All three pieces are $1 each until December 19th.

I decided to scrap this year’s first Santa encounter. My OB/GYN’s office does a Santa encounter each year with Steve Armstrong Photography providing a free photograph. This year was the first I was aware of it. Jessica didn’t want to sit on Santa’s lap, but didn’t have any problem sitting on the wrapped box next to him. We almost couldn’t get Janette to even sit next to Jessica. Yet, this picture turned out extremely adorable.

Santa Express

Posted on December 14, 2014 by Jennifer

It’s Gotta Grab It time at Gotta Pixel.

Connie Prince has the perfect kit for any polar express rides you may have taken. You can pick up any of the Santa Express pieces for $1, December 13th through December 19th.

When I saw this kit, I knew I had the perfect photos for it. I had gone with my parents when they took my girls and my neice Aspen on a Polar Express ride. I made a double page spread using one of the templates from the December template bundle. Journaling reads: We ended our day trip to Lubbock with a ride on the Polar Express via the West Texas and Lubbock Railway. Nanny and Papa bought special tickets that provided each of the cousins with their own wrapped copy of The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg. We all drank hot cocoa and ate cookies. About midway through the trip we arrived at the North Pole and Santa came aboard the train. On the way back to the station, all the girls danced in the aisle with the elves. Aspen, Jessica and Janette all had a lot of fun.

Here’s the layout I made using Life 2. Journaling reads” For some reason, I brought my camera to school when we picked up Jessica from school.. I convinced the girls to do a little photo shoot on the bench near the parking lot. Janette wasn’t really interested, but I absolutely love the photo of her leaning on Jessica. Jessica really hammed it up. I love these sweet girls and that they will at times humor my need to be a mamarazzi.”
