Proud 2 Be an American Revisited

Posted on by

On Friday, I shared a layout made with the new digikit by Karen Diamond Designs called Proud 2 Be an American. Well, I finished scrapping the 2010 4th of July Party our friends Aric & Kristy hosted.

This second layout is not specifically about the party, but all the photos were taken at the party, some by my friend Kristy. This also uses a fun alpha that you can pick up as part of the new Font/Alpha Challenge over at Scraps N Pieces.

Proud 2 Be an American

Today is release day for a very patriotic kit from Karen Diamond Designs called Proud 2 Be an American. It is perfect to scrap photos taken at all the Independence Day festivities you attend next week. Karen currently has it 40% off (preview linked to store).

And here’s a preview of the papers.

Karen also has a few coordinating items that can be purchased separately. I also used the Mixed Papers, which includes glitters, on my layout.

I have one layout showcasing this kit. It is from the 2010 4th of July Party our friends Aric & Kristy hosted. I had intended to scrap the rest of the party in time for this blog post, but time got away from me.

Playing Catch-Up…

I am behind in sharing a number of my crafty creations. Today, I will share a few layouts.

Here’s one of Jessica and Janette playing in the backyard on March 21, 2012.

Here’s a close up of the left side

and the right side.

Next up is a layout of Jessica helping bake cookies November 30, 2011. Journaling reads “Jessica helped me bake Sugar Drop cookies to take to my MOPS meeting the following day. She enjoyed rolling the cookie dough in sugar and placing on the cookie sheet, at least for a little while.” I made this during a speed scrap in May.

And finally here is a layout of Janette when she fell asleep in her high chair. Journaling reads: “Janette is going through a stage where she is not a very good napper. She will only take 2-3 little catnaps during the day. You know this really takes its toll when she falls asleep while you’re trying to feed her peas. May 10, 2012 – 6 months old” This was also made during a speed scrap. Do you like my cheesy title? 😉 FYI, her napping has improved since these photos were taken, at least most of the time.

I still have a backlog of projects to share, but that’s enough for today.

Everlasting Love

Today, I’m going tell you about a new kit called Everlasting Love from Karen Diamond Designs. It is a very soft and dreamy kit, perfect for heritage photos or just about anything. It has 20 papers and 33 elements plus 3 alphas.

I have two layouts to share that showcase this kit. First up is a layout of my great-grandmother Amelia. She is my mom’s dad’s mother. She actually came to live with my mom and her family when my mom was a little girl.
