World of Laughter

Posted on May 15, 2015 by Jennifer

It’s a world of laughter, a world of tears… a world of hope and a world of fears! It’s a small world after all! Digiscrapping has given me friends from all over the world that I would not have ever dreamed possible… so what better way to showcase what a small world we live in than to team up with a dear friend, who lives not only in another country… but another continent!

This bright and colorful collaboration kit from myself and Marina {Magical Scraps Galore} will delight you! Dolls from all different cultures, bright silly animals, and a geometric pattern extravaganza awaits. Scrap about friends, its adorable for children of all ages, use it for that ‘Small World’ ride, use it for school projects…. the possibilities and fun are endless!

I have a layout with photos from our Disney trip last summer. It’s a double page spread.

And here’s a close-up of the left side.

And the right side.

Two New QWS Releases

Posted on February 13, 2015 by Jennifer

Queen Wild Scraps has two new releases this week.

First up, you can knock four more states off your cross-country bucket list. State of Mind: Mason-Dixon covers the four states that have the infamous demarcation line as part of their border. You can purchase State of Mind: Mason-Dixon for 40% off through February 19th.

As this week is all about the love, love, love, Queen Wild Scraps has a love inspired template set also releasing this week. Queen of Hearts Vol. 3 is perfect to scrap the loves of your life. You can purchase Queen of Hearts Vol. 3 for 40% off through February 19th.

I have a layout using the West Virginia template. James, Jessica and I visited West Virginia with my parents a few years ago and it was so pretty.

Walt Disney World 2014 Layouts

Posted on August 26, 2014 by Jennifer

One of my favorite things about our recent Disney trip was the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth show at Epcot right at closing.

I especially liked this photo of my sweet girls watching the show, but it was rather dark. So I used the Auto Smart Fix to enhance the image.

This is the layout I created with it. It was my week 3 entry for the annual Scrap It to Win It contest over at Scraps N Pieces.

Ellies: SNP Collab – This is My Country; Magical Scraps Galore – Rock On; Queen Wild Scraps – Concerto; Scraps N Pieces – Rock On
Papers: Magical Scraps Galore – Rock On; Scraps N Pieces – Lights, Camera, Action; Scraps N Pieces – Rock On
Alpha: Scraps N Pieces – Postcards from Paris
Font: KG Primary Penmenship
Mask made using Natural Brushes and Natural Brushes 2

Here’s another layout. This covers our plane ride to Orlando.

Backlog of Layouts

Posted on March 21, 2014 by Jennifer

I have a back log of layouts to share with you today. They were all created for either a speed scrap or a forum challenge.

First up is one I had intended to share on my parent’s 34th anniversary this year, but I got side tracked and forgot. It has some then and now photos. Well, sorta now photos. The now photos were from their 30th anniversary celebrations in 2010, a family party my siblings and I surprised them with and their celebratory trip.

Digkit: Wendy Tunison Designs – Two Hearts, Two Hearts Add-on, An Extraordinary Life (black/white flower, black button, white rose), Simplicity (black leaves and one white flower); Connie Prince – Puppy Dogs (black ribbon), For You (black flower and gray paper), Love Bugs (black flower), Lake Life (large foliage)
Font: Storybook (&); Sophmore Yearbook (journal)

Last Christmas I made my sister-in-law two quilted cathedral potholders and quite a few layouts I had printed out for her. I’ve decided that I’m going to give her some each Christmas. She really liked the ones I gave her this past Christmas. This layout includes a great picture of her as a baby. Her dad died when she was just a few years old, so I know she will love this layout.

Digkit: Magical Scraps Galore – Memories in B&W; string and tag from Wendy Tunison Designs – Documented; gray/white newsprint paper from Queen Wild Scraps – Capture Memories
Composition: SNP SS #246

This one showcases my in-laws wedding. It seems so weird seeing all that hair on my FIL. He’s been bald on top as long as I’ve known him.

Digkit: Wor dArt World – Treasured Memories
Template: Trixie Scraps Designs – Large & In Charge Vol 2
Brush: alcoholicwhine hearts in motion 2006
Font: Euphoria Script

Here’s a layout with more recent photos. This is my loves this past Christmas.

Digkit: Connie Prince – The Big Guy, The Big Guy Word Bits
Font: Soup of Justice, Santa’s Sleigh Full, Seriously (journal/year)

This is my Grandma when when she was either 20 or 21. Not sure what part of 1951 the photos were taken. She was a real looker, wasn’t she?

Digkit: True North Scraps – Whisper
Composition: SNP SS #236

Ironically, this photo was taken when James and I celebrated our anniversary in 2013. Jason and Julia took care of the girls while we had dinner and I snapped this photo when we picked Janette up after dinner (Jessica spent the night with her cousin).

Digkit: Wendy Tunison Designs – Two Hearts, Two Hearts Add-on; green paper, green button and paint splatter from Queen Wild Scraps – Family Ties
Font: Chalk Line Outline, i love you monkey (hearted), Sofia, Miss Smarty Pants

Here’s a family tree layout for my sister. The three boy photos were from last year, but the photo of them was from this January. Sadly, I couldn’t find a good photo of the two of them from last year. This year, I’m making an effort to get couple shots.

Digkit: Keystone Scraps – In the Hollow, In the Hollow Add-on, grass was made clipping a paper to a grass element from True North Scraps – Do You Believe in Fairies
Template: Double Trouble Scraps – SNP Template Challenge February 2014

Have a great weekend! We’ll be celebrating our nephews’ birthdays: Cameron’s 6th and Rylan’s 1st.
