Lookin for Adventure

It’s that time of year when motorcycles start appearing regularly on the streets and highways. Dawna is an avid biker and can’t wait for enough snow to melt for them to take the dust cover off their motorcycle and hit the road! Well… not literally. They intend to keep the ‘rubber side down’ and enjoy their rides. Remember to look twice — you could save a life! Motorcycles are hard to see and we hate to hear about any crashes involving motorcycles because you know it’s not usually going to end well for the biker(s).

Dawna knows that she can’t possibly be the only scrapper who enjoys riding, so she made this kit for people like her:

Lookin For Adventure

This kit has 35 elements and 20 papers, all ready for your photographs of your exciting adventures, whether they are on a motorcycle, a scooter, and even (as you will see from the LOs made by the North Stars) child-sized vehicle adventures too!

Also included is a very bright alpha of upper and lower case letters, numbers and many symbols – including the very hard to find tilde (~), £, and € symbols!

I have two layouts that I made. The first one is about our love affair with Freebirds.

Journaling reads: James has always been a big fan of Freebirds. I didn’t used to be a big fan, but something in my taste buds changed when I was pregnant with Janette and now it is one of my favorite places to eat too. Since little monsters (kids) eat free Sunday evening and all day Monday and Tuesday, it is the perfect family dining spot. Jessica will always eat a quesadilla and Janette loves the rice as well as the quesadilla.

This second layout is of Jessica shortly after her first birthday riding in her birthday present from us. This car is pretty popular, because she still loves it, although she can maneuver it herself via foot power.

Hello Birthday

Amy’s Designs has a new kit out called Hello Birthday. It is a birthday themed kit and the colors were inspired by Hello Kitty. It is the free with purchase kit for the second half of April at Scraps N Pieces, but you can also just purchase it outright.

The coordinating alphas are awesome. The blue, pink and green alphas are full alphas with upper, lower and punctuation. The orange, yellow, purple and red flair style alpha are just lower case.

I have two things to share using this kit.

First, I made an invitation for my nephew’s birthday party. It is sized 4×6, so my sister could simply print it out as a photo.

Second, I made a layout with the best photos from the birthday party Jessica and I attended for her school friend Mia. Journaling from Jessica’s point of view reads: April 7, 2013 Mia, one of my classmates at Abiding Love, invited me to her birthday party. It was held in her backyard and our classmates Madeline and Harper were there also. The party started at 2:30, but Mommy and I didn’t get there until almost 3 and Mommy had a hard time getting me to leave, I was having so much fun. Mia had a trampoline and a fun swing set to enjoy. We also went inside near the end of the party and I really enjoyed Mia’s dollhouse.

Bring Spring

Queen Wild Scraps has beautiful spring kit being released today. I love the shades of purple and green together. You’ll also love the hand-drawn doodled look of some of the elements that Lahni made just for this kit.

Memories by Digital Design not only has new stuff in her store, but she’s also the Featured Designer the first half of April. She has lots of stuff planned, so keeping reading…

New Again

Today is release day for the newest kit by Amy’s Designs. New Again is a soft Easter kit to help you preserve all your wonderful Easter memories.

Memories by Digital Design collaborated with Amy and made some lovely wordart to go with the kit. Both the kit and the wordart are on sale for 50% off this weekend.

I made two facing layouts. They’re from our Easter celebrations last year. I tried to make it look like Jessica was reaching out of the frame to give you an egg. Do you think I succeeded?

Journaling reads: Since the closing on selling our house would be on Tuesday, our Easter celebrations were pretty low-key. We didn’t even make it to church as we still had so much packing left to do to be moved out by the next day. We tried to make it special for Jessica by having a little egg hunt in our backyard. It took her a little bit to understand what she was supposed to do, but once she figured it out, she was off and running to find all the eggs.
