Twas the Night Before Christmas

Posted on December 27, 2015 by Jennifer

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, memories were being made. Christmastime is one of the most festive-and most photographed-times of the year, with so much joy in everything. The latest kit from Scraps N Pieces, ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas, reflects upon the classic story of the same name, making subtle nods to the traditions contained within. This jewel-toned kit positively shines and sparkles, providing the perfect complement to your ornaments, lights, and presents under the tree. Featured elements include a fireplace with stockings, Santa, reindeer, Christmas trees, lights, banners, and cookies for Santa. Also included are thematic word art for telling your Christmas stories with glee. Snuggle up and scrap Christmas traditions for years to come with ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas.

This kit is 1/2 price at both the Scraps N Pieces Store and our My Memories store.

The word art below is FREE WITH DOWNLOADS, or you can pick it up on the STORE BLOG for a limited time for FREE.

I have two layouts to share and I need to make at least one or two more. These are from a visit to the town of Llano’s Christmas light trail. This was actually the second time we visited this year. The first was the Saturday after Thanksgiving on the way back to Austin and this time was again on the way back to Austin from a trip to Midland, this time for our Christmas celebration with family.

Today is the last day for GGI at Gotta Pixel.

Word Art World has a really cute Christmas kit, Holly Jolly Christmas, as part of GGI. You can pick it up in pieces or as the full kit.

I have two layouts. They document a trip to Home Depot in Midland over Thanksgiving for a building workshop and surprisingly a Santa visit.

Seize the Day

Posted on December 10, 2015 by Jennifer

What’s old is new again and the world is taking notice. Scraps N Pieces’ latest kit Seize The Day is a vintage-inspired scrapbooking page that harkens back to the “good ol’ days” when scrapbooks were full of newspaper clippings. This kit’s muted color palette and newsprint accents makes it a timeless classic, perfect for heirloom pages and modern memories alike. Seize The Day makes great nods to bygone days with pageboy caps, vintage cars, lucky dice, playing cards, and a saxophone that seems to be playing jazz. Pops of vintage jewelry and silhouettes can’t steal the show from the glittery alpha though. Every detail is a delight. So Seize The Day and start scrapping away. Purchase this kit for 1/2 off during this first week of release!

Newsies is one of my favorite movies. I had a big crush on Christian Bale back in the day and loved him in Newsies and Swing Kids, so I knew I wanted to work with this kit as soon as I saw it. However, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to scrap with it. My friend Mona makes her own Victorian style clothes and hats and I asked her if she could send me a few photos of her in her creations.
