Live Out Loud

Posted on by

Word Art World has a new word pack available. Live Out Loud features 14 fun word art about enjoying life. It is available at Gingerscraps and the Digi Chick.

I thought the “on top of the WORLD” word art would be perfect for some pictures from our hike up Whiteside Mountain in North Carolina last summer. The views were amazing and I thought pretty fitting for the word art. Journaling reads: After lunch at Highlands BBQ Company, we drove to the parking area at the base of Whiteside Mountain. A landmark in the Nantahala National Forest, Whiteside Mountain rises to an elevation of 4,930 feet. The mountain’s massive, exposed cliffs rise nearly 750 feet from the tree line, the highest perpendicular bare rock face east of the Rocky Mountains. It was quite a hike to the lookout areas. Janette lagged behind and I stayed with her. The views from the top were worth the effort. The trail makes a 2-mile loop, but we didn’t know that and returned the way we had come, so I’m unsure of the distance we actually covered.

I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday!!! Scraps N Pieces has a new kit released for you, SHINE. Life is full of important milestones, big and small. First days of school, weddings, births, vacations… All these events are well-represented in scrapbooking kits. Shine On commemorates those day-to-day moments that build into a wonderful life. Navy and cornflower blue cozy up with a deep red and white, allowing pops of gold to take center stage. This kit’s elements are equally complementary and celebratory, shining a spotlight on your special photos and stories. Banners, arrows, and a golden alpha can help draw the eye to the best parts of your scrapbook page. Scrap those moments—big and small—that make you beam with pride with Shine On. Get this one while it’s 1/2 price during this first week of release.

I have a layout with a recent photo of storytime at our house. Journaling reads: Our bedtime routine ends with storytime. Jessica and Janette each choose one book. Lately, Jessica has been reading all or part of either her or Janette’s book. It is so exciting to see her go from not reading to reading quite well in such a short time span.
