Recently, I mentioned a new monochromatic kit by Queen Wild Scraps called Perfectly Plum. Today, I have a layout to share. It was my week 3 entry for the Scrap It to Win It contest going on at Scraps-N-Pieces.
Journaling reads: “When I saw a flyer for the semi-annual car seat seat exchange promotion at Toys R Us, I thought it was about time to start researching car seats. The plan was to get Jessica a new seat with higher weight limits and booster seat convertibility and then put Janette in Jessica’s existing car seat, a Britax Marathon 70. At the time of the research, Jessica only weighed 28 pounds and she had weighed about that much for a year or so. I didn’t know how long it would take her to reach 30 pounds, so that eliminated a number of the choices with minimum 30 pound requirements even though we didn’t need to upgrade Janette immediately. I decided on the Britax Frontier 85 with side impact cushion technology. She can use it harnessed until she weighs 85 pounds and as a booster seat until she weighs 120 pounds, although I imagine she will grow tall enough to safely use the vehicle seat long before she weighs that much. Currently only available online, it happened to be on sale for 25% off, so I ended up ordering it immediately. We hadn’t intended to start using it as soon as it arrived, but Jessica saw the box and was quite excited about her new car seat. We went ahead and installed it for her with the thought of waiting a few days to upgrade Janette in case Jessica got possessive of the old seat. However, we didn’t have to worry about that as Jessica wanted to Janette to sit in her “new” car seat right away too. I took these photos 9/17/12, the day after they both starting riding in their new seats.”

Thanks for stopping by.

It was sweet Jessica wanted to pass her car seat down to Janette. They both look cute in their seats and I love the plum color.
