Ancient Egypt is well-revered by historians and laypeople alike. Whether your interests lie in scholarly writings, hieroglyphics, or vacation photos from your last trip to Egypt, you’ll love Walk Like An Egyptian by Scraps N Pieces. This richly colored kit draws inspiration from both ancient artwork and the warm hues of the desert. Richly textured solid papers draw to mind old books, while the bold graphic patterned papers are timeless. But the gems of this kit are its elements. Featured motifs include pyramids, camels, sarcophagi, pharaohs, scarab beetles, and several of the Egyptian gods. Walk Like An Egyptian also comes with plenty of flowers, frames, buttons, tags featuring famous Egyptian landmarks, and a bold gold-rimmed alpha. So grab your favorite photos – and maybe a guide to journaling in hieroglyphics – and scrap your favorite stories under the Egyptian sun with Walk Like An Egyptian.

Lori had asked the CT specifically for some theme layouts. I didn’t have any, but I thought of Mandi. Mandi, one of my sister’s closest friends from college, is a big traveler. Her and her husband Dave have been to some amazing places and Egypt was one of them. I always enjoy the photos she shares of her travels on Facebook. So I asked her if I could scrap a few photos from her trip and she said yes. Aren’t the little place tags awesome? Mandi had visited a lot of the places listed on the tags, so it was easy to choose photos to scrap. Her photo of the Nile River really caught my eye, so I knew I wanted to scrap that one.
