Play Ball

Connie Prince has a new This or That collection available today. It is perfect for all the baseball and softball lovers in your family. She’s got a special deal going on this first week where you get the journal cards free if you purchase the big bundle that has both softball and Baseball kits in it. You can also get bundles specific to just baseball or just softball if you’d rather have just one.

This is primarily because these photos were taken with my old Palm Treo, prior to getting a smart phone with a good camera. The quality of these photos are not that great unless they’re small. I love my family and this was a fun memory of going to watch the Rangers play after we helped my sister move back in 2005.

A Wing & A Prayer

cap_awingandaprayerJames and I just bought a new scanner. It arrived Saturday. Yesterday afternoon, Jessica helped me scan a number of things. Quality control, right. One of the things we scanned, was album of photos from James’ parents’ wedding. I felt this kit had the perfect colors to complement the photos. The photo of Olivia with her bridesmaids show it better as they wore blue; but I decided to scrap the cake photos first. Don’t they look young? This year, they’ll celebrate their 37th anniversary.2014-02-10_LO_Cake

Life is a Highway

I’m guesting on Connie Prince’s Creative Team again this month. I’m super excited about that. The first kit I got to play with was this month’s Gotta Grab It kit, Life is a Highway.

First up is a themed layout of the girls when we were at the car dealership. Journaling reads: The girls and I took our mini-van to Howdy Honda for the semi-annual Auto Butler service as well as an oil change. They also repaired a tiny crack in the windshield. We spent the morning watching The Little Mermaid in their kid zone and playing. After eating our packed lunch, the girls started to get restless. We decided to go check out the new models they had in the showroom. Jessica and Janette had fun climbing in and out of the car. It’s Gotta Grab It time at Gotta Pixel. This month’s color swatch is pretty fun.

Initially, she was considering a project life type kit with these colors, but one of my fellow CT members suggested doing a Valentine’s Day theme playing up the non-traditional colors. Thus, Captured by You was born. Personally, I’m so glad she went with the love theme as I love it.

Second is a layout of Jessica’s school friend, Lana, at their school Valentine’s picnic/party last year. Somehow, I don’t think they’ll be having a picnic on Valentine’s Day this year.
