Spoonful of Sugar

Some stories are truly timeless and seem to transcend generations. One such story is Mary Poppins. With her life lessons and cheerful disposition, it’s no wonder she’s so beloved – especially the part about how “a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.” Spoonful of Sugar is inspired by everyone’s favorite magical nanny and adds a timeless joy to your scrapbook pages. This kit’s lovely color palette draws upon the red and white of her outfit and injects some crimson, black, and pale blue to complement completely. A mixture of bold and cute patterns papers will have you happy enough to dance across the rooftops, while glittery papers add that extra dose of whimsy to your scrapping. I don’t have any Mary Poppins photos, but the skyline element called to me. I thought it would be great for a travel layout. I chose some photos from my trip to Milwaukee back in 2016.

Turning Wrenches

Not every special memory is clean, bright, and perfectly posed. For some people, time spent tinkering in the garage makes the best memories. Turning Wrenches brings the gritty garage to your scrapbook. The subtle silvers, grays, charcoal, pops of green and pale yellow provide a great backdrop for those gear-driven photos. Capture It!

As scrapbookers, we are all about the photos. But for some of us, the passion runs deeper and photography has our hearts. When I first saw this kit, I was excited since I actually had snowy pictures I needed to scrap. Usually, I find alternate uses for winter kits since winter here in Austin, TX is relatively mild. This year we’ve had a lot of cold and on December 7-8, we had snow.
