Autumn on My Mind

Posted on October 7, 2013 by Jennifer

Autumn is definitely on my mind. I can’t wait until we get some fall weather, although I’m sure it’s still a few weeks away for central Texas. Yesterday’s high was 82°F and it has to be under 80°F for me to consider it fall. We did dip into the 50s for the low, so we’re getting close. This month I had the chance to work with a kit from Grace Blossoms 4 You. It is called Autumn on My Mind. It is a fun fall kit with lots of colorful leaves and pretty flowers. Today is the last day to pick it up on sale for 50% off.

I have three layouts to share using this kit. The first is a school photo of my sister-in-law.

The second and third are a double-page spread showcasing an afternoon of a family trip we took to Vermont back in 2008 (see this blog post for more details about that trip). The title is the extracted sign I photographed.

I also have a fun border cluster freebie for you. You can click on the preview or here to download it. I hope you like it and I would love to know what you think of it.

Have a fabulous week!

Bits N Pieces for October is all about preserving memories. The color scheme is perfect for old photos, but classic enough for current photos too. You can use it to scrap anything from heritage layouts to travel layouts, all the way to baby and wedding layouts. Queen Wild Scraps has three packs you can pick up for $1 each today through October 7th.

Here is my layout using Capture Memories. This is James’ maternal grandparents.

Henriett did a beautiful tribute page to her mother.

Kandice has a gorgeous wedding layout, plus a zoo layout. See how versatile this kit is! Note, that her second layout also uses BNP from Wendy Tunison Designs.

Treasures

Posted on September 24, 2013 by Jennifer

I’m here to tell you about a fun little kit by a designer that is new to Scraps N Pieces, Growing Pains Scrapped. I am becoming more and more of a Disney fanatic and after browsing the Growing Pains Scrapped store, I was quite excited to see a lot of Disney inspired kits. As part of my store CT duties, I decided to work with Treasures, a kit inspired by everyone’s favorite little mermaid. This kit contains multiple versions of the little mermaid, as a mermaid and as a princess. Also included are her sisters, which is perfect for you to scrap your own little mermaid’s adventures.

There are three coordinating packs you can also pick up: cardstock/glitters, flairs, and QPs.

Currently, they are all 50% off as part of Growing Pains Scrapped grand opening. And it’s not just Treasures that is on sale, but her whole store. I’m not sure when the grand opening sale ends, so you’ll want to jump on this great opportunity.

I have two layouts to share that show off the versatility of this kit. They are both Disney layouts, but you might be surprised by the second one. The first is outside the Under the Sea ride/attraction in Fantasyland at Disney World. The second is formal night on our Disney cruise.

Have a great day!
