It’s a New Day

Amy’s Designs has a new kit being released today. The color scheme was inspired by CT member Ann’s family photos. I love the bright yellows and blues in this kit.

The second layout also uses an older photo, but only two years older. Look how small Jessica and her cousins look! Journaling reads: “Everyone arrived at Sarah’s house Friday afternoon for a weekend to celebrate Cameron’s third birthday. All the cousins enjoyed playing in the backyard as dinner was being prepared. After dinner, Cameron opened his gifts from the family.”

Backlog of Layouts

We’re having a busy week. It’s Vacation Bible School at our church. Jessica is attending for the first time (you have to be 3 and potty trained). Janette is in the nursery for volunteer’s children. And I’m doing crafts with the 3, 4, and 5 year-olds. I hope your week is great.

Jubilant June Freebie

Yesterday, I showed you a new kit by Queen Wild Scraps.

Today, I have a layout to share using it. Journaling reads: “Our American Express Costco credit card gives it’s rewards as a check to Costco. This year, we decided to buy this Montalban 3 Bike Trailer with Jogger Kit, along with some groceries and even a little cash. It was almost like getting it for free. Janette and Jessica thought it was great fun to go for a ride hooked up to my bicycle. It’s definitely a work-out pulling them and the trailer, a combined weight of approximately 92 pounds.”

Jubilant June

Jubilant June is releasing today!!! It is the latest in Queen Wild Scraps’ monthly series. The colors are fabulous! They definitely make me think summer. All the fun outdoor elements are perfect to scrap all the outdoor fun you’re having this month. And don’t forget about the Dads. There’s a Father’s Day tag and a grill, two things that frequently go hand in hand. Although in my house, I do the grilling. And sadly, I learned something recently about grilling chicken leg quarters (or other bone-in, skin-on chicken) that I wish I had known earlier. Make sure you put tin foil under them or use a foil pan as the fat has a tendency to drip and cause flares. My whole grill was in flames and James had to use the fire extinguisher.

Time Sweet Time

It’s Grab A Byte time over at Scrapbookbytes. The color scheme this month is fabulous. Word Art World has five pieces available for $1 each. The elements have a lot of fun vintage pieces. The first papers has pattern papers and the second papers some more solid type papers as well as papers that pull in the neutral blacks and whites. The word art is fun and is all about taking the time to smell the roses, so to speak.waw_timesweettime_el

There is also a set of Chalk Signs, but I didn’t use it.

I have a layout to share that uses all the fun vintage elements, like the chandelier, the chair, and the pitcher. The photos are from when James and I stayed at the Garden View Bed and Breakfast in Medina, NY.
