My Life… March

Posted on by

March brings with it a feeling of springtime. Bright colors, lush greenery, and a sense of cheer that winter is ending seem to appear as soon as March rolls around. My Life… March brings the happiness of springtime to your scrapbooking pages. This adorable kit packs quite the punch, whether you’re telling everyday stories or celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Bold yet airy papers add a punch of pattern to your layouts, while adorable doodled elements steal center stage. A cheerful leprechaun, shamrocks, and a rainbow with a pot of gold tip their hats to the biggest celebration of the month. But those of you documenting the day-to-day have a lot to celebrate too: this kit is packed with journaling cards, banners, word strips, and accent elements for those little slices of life. Everything is brightly colored and ready to go, including the layered card templates and two fun alphas. If you need help getting started, My Life… March comes with a calendar and a quick page to help you get started on telling your stories. Celebrate the best parts of springtime’s arrival with My Life… March.

This kit is on sale at both Scraps N Pieces and My Memories.

I have two layouts I’ve made so far with My Life… March. The first is for my P52 project, week 9. This year is already flying by.

The second is from our recent Home Depot kids workshop. Journaling reads: Home Depot puts on great kids building workshops the first Saturday of every month that are free. This month Jessica and Janette built rain gauges. The wooden birdhouse structure has a screw that a plastic rain gauge sets on (not seen in the pictures). The painting is both Jessica and Janette’s favorite part of the workshops.

The Colors of Spring

I realized today that I had totally spaced and not blogged about Word Art World’s contribution to the Gingerscraps March Buffet. The Colors of Spring is a really fun, bright Easter themed kit. It is no longer available in pieces, but you can buy the entire kit here. Below are previews to the individual pieces, so you can see more of what this colossal kit contains.

I made two layouts about the girls dyeing Easter eggs with their Nana and I last year.

AbraCadabra

Magic is in the air tonight with AbraCadabra. Much like the magic word it is named for, the latest kit from Scraps N Pieces can help you pull a rabbit out of your hat – and scrap your most amazing stories with ease. Rich, velvety reds and blacks bring to mind the theater, while pops of pale green, cerulean, and cream add a sense of allure to this kit. Perfectly patterned papers help do a slight of hand trick, drawing your eye to the most important parts of the page. But it’s the elements of this kit that truly dazzle and amaze. Vintage ephemera harkens back to the classic days of stage magic, with enough playing cards, rabbits in hats, and crystal balls to pay homage to all your favorite tricks. Magic wands, stars, moons, and a curtained stage beckon. This kit even has admission tickets and posters for a magic show.  The semi-glossy alpha adds a touch of prestige to your title work, making your entire page look magical. Just wave your magic mouse, add some photos, and get scrapping with AbraCadabra.

Each part of this kit is only $1.00 each through March 7th as part of this month’s Bits N Pieces, so have fun mixing and matching. Previews are linked.

I made two layouts from a birthday party of Janette’s MOPS friends. He had a magic show at his party.
