Our Family

Posted on February 16, 2017 by Jennifer

Word Art World has a fun new word art set that is pefect for family photos. Our Family is available at Gingerscraps and The Digi Chick.

When I saw this word art set, I thought of some photos I had scanned. My Grandma put together two albums of photos of when my sister and I were tiny tots (just the kind with sticky pages and plastic on top that clearly don’t stand up the test of time). She meticulusly listed the dates for the photos, which is pretty impressive considering this was prior to digital photography’s ease of dating. This also uses the latest kit from Scraps N Pieces that I showcased in my last blog post.

This is Heidi’s birthday kit 2017! Happy birthday Heidi!

Some people appear in our scrapbooks constantly. They play such an important role in our lives that they seem to always be present in every story we tell. Side By Side by Scraps N Pieces celebrates those very important people who are a part of everything we do. The whimsical color palette of faded turquoise, navy blue, pink, lime green, and gray adds a timeless appeal to your scrapbook pages. Everyday elements like flowers, feathers, butterflies, and banners galore make this kit perfect for those not-so-special occasions you’ll always remember. Side By Side also features bits of ephemera, white-washed wood, thematic word strips, and a twice-washed wooden alpha for those more nostalgic stories. Tell the stories of those great friends who are always there for you with Side By Side.

Available at Scraps N Pieces and My Memories for 50% OFF this week.

I have two layouts to share. The first is from my friend Debbie’s birthday celebration last year.

Live Out Loud

Posted on February 12, 2017 by Jennifer

Word Art World has a new word pack available. Live Out Loud features 14 fun word art about enjoying life. It is available at Gingerscraps and the Digi Chick.

I thought the “on top of the WORLD” word art would be perfect for some pictures from our hike up Whiteside Mountain in North Carolina last summer. The views were amazing and I thought pretty fitting for the word art. Journaling reads: After lunch at Highlands BBQ Company, we drove to the parking area at the base of Whiteside Mountain. A landmark in the Nantahala National Forest, Whiteside Mountain rises to an elevation of 4,930 feet. The mountain’s massive, exposed cliffs rise nearly 750 feet from the tree line, the highest perpendicular bare rock face east of the Rocky Mountains. It was quite a hike to the lookout areas. Janette lagged behind and I stayed with her. The views from the top were worth the effort. The trail makes a 2-mile loop, but we didn’t know that and returned the way we had come, so I’m unsure of the distance we actually covered.

Love is in the air and hearts are aflutter as the calendar rolls over to February. Whether it’s a product of spending the winter snuggled close or the pull of Valentine’s Day, everything is red and covered in hearts. My Life… February, the latest kit from Scraps N Pieces, taps into this feeling so you can scrapbook everything you love this month, romantic and otherwise. Cute doodled papers add a pop of pattern to your layout, while bold red elements steal the show. Featured elements include roses, hearts galore, ephemera, themed word strips, and a silvery alpha. This giant bundle is jam-packed with useable accents you can grab month after month, including journal cards (both plain and love-themed), red arrows, banners, and tabs galore. It even comes with a quick page and calendar template so you can spend less time scrapping and more time making memories. Scrap the stories of what you love most about this month with My Life… February. Products available at Scraps N Pieces and My Memories. The kit and the bundle are both on sale this week.

I made two layouts. First up is my Week 5 layout.
