Woodland Fairy

Posted on November 1, 2016 by Jennifer

Woodland Fairy captures the playful spirit of childhood fairy hunting. This whimsical scrapbook kit is packed full of adorable hand-drawn elements and subtle details you need to see to believe. Everything from the color scheme to the patterns adds a sense of wonder to your layout. Sunny yellows and shaded greens interplay with pops of teal and blue, while fairies and woodland creatures appear if you look carefully. Everything from hedgehogs to owls to foxes and raccoons can be found in this kit, alongside toadstools and flowers galore. It’s enough to make you want to go hunting for fairies to photograph. Recapture the magic of childhood with Woodland Fairy.

Woodland Fairy is part of this month’s Bits N Pieces. Scraps N Pieces has an element pack, a paper pack, a cardstock/glitter pack, an alpha, an owl add-on pack and a brand new template pack.

I made three layouts and I need to make at least one or maybe two more to finish scrapping a visit to the Lady Bird John Wildflower Center with my friend Kristy in 2009.

I made two layouts. I scanned some photos from my family’s trip to Disney World back in 1995.

Midwest Harvest

Posted on October 5, 2016 by Jennifer

Autumn brings with it fresh crops, cooler weather, and changing leaves. The latest kit from Scraps N Pieces, Midwest Harvest, celebrates the changing seasons in the heart of America. This warm, cozy kit draws on the hues of the changing leaves and the darkening skies as the days get shorter to capture the feel of the fall. Fun patterned papers snuggle close to wood print, newsprint, and gingham papers, with subtly textured solids to complement. Midwest Harvest combines timeless drawings and ephemera to further accentuate your photos. Featured elements include milk caps, a scarecrow, a farm and farmer’s market, a windmill, a truck full of pumpkins, and a wire alpha. Settle in with a warm pumpkin pie or some apple cider and scrap your favorite parts of fall with Midwest Harvest.

This month we have two paper packs, elements, alpha and a new template pack. Grab all of them while they are just $1 each.

As soon as I saw that truck full pumpkins, I thought of Sweet Berry Farm, the pumpkin patch in nearby Marble Falls that we’ve visited frequently. I hadn’t scrapped these photos from 2013 yet, so that is what I thought I would scrap. I love that little tractor the girls “ride.”

I absolutely love the little chipmunks in this kit. However, all my photos of Chip and Dale are either in Carribean or Alaskan attire and don’t really work with a harvest theme. I decided the harvest theme would go perfect with the photos I took while on the Living with the Land ride at Epcot.

Sea World

Posted on September 22, 2016 by Jennifer

There’s a whole world of wonder under the ocean and on the shore. Sea World brings that undersea fun to your scrapbook page. With multiple shades of blue, poppy yellow-green, black, white, and grays, this kit would not be out of place in an aquarium. Featured elements include fish, marine mammals, sharks, sea turtles, waves, and a bubbly fun alpha. This kit also pairs well with vacation-themed products for a wider scope of fun by the sea. So dive in and start scrapping those photos with Sea World. Get this kit during the first week of release for 1/2 off.

Previews are linked.

I have three layouts to share about a recent visit to Sea World.

This first layout actually uses a stingray from a different kit, Deep Blue Sea.
