Finish Strong

Posted on by

Marathons, 5Ks and 10Ks, fun runs, chalk runs, color runs, and more. However you get your running in, this kit is great for all kinds of racers. It is full of lots of fun colors for the “colorful” races, but still plenty of neutrals to go with any racing photos. Finish Strong was a request from CT Sheri whose husband is a runner and they are also starting their boys running early.

The kit is on sale for 1/2 price this week for the release at both Scraps N Pieces and My Memories.SNP_FS_SNPpreview

My layout is about the Texas Round-up. Journaling reads: Working for TxDOT meant participation in Governor Perry’s Texas Round-up was highly encouraged. I even earned 4 hours of bonus vacation leave. So I convinced my family to join me and we all walked the 10k route in downtown Austin near the Capitol. We had a lot of fun.2014-09-11_LO_Texas-Round-up

This one has photos from last year’s St. Ann’s fair. I’m getting excited about visiting Midland for this year’s fair. Jessica will be much more adventurous, I’m sure. Journaling reads: Both the Moores and the Witgens planned to visit Midland for the St. Ann’s Fair; however, Cameron acted up at school, so Brian kept him at home. We started the morning, by taking the kids to the carnival area of the fair. Papa bought a number of ride tickets. Initially, Jessica wasn’t interested in the rides. After watching Trevor and Janette ride the Ferris wheel and carousel and Trevor ride the motorcycles, she decided to join Trevor for the plane ride. Janette just jealously watched the motorcycle and and plane ride. Papa took the three of them on the rocking boat ride, which Jessica ended up hating. One of these days, she will become more adventurous.2014-09-11_LO_St-Anns-Fair-1

I’ve decided that scrapbook pages make the perfect gift. Family and friends beware! 🙂 This layout showcases my niece. I just realized that Aspen is my only niece. Five nephews, but only one niece. Aspen started kindergarten this year and she is really enjoying it.2014-09-09_LO_Aspen-First-Day-of-Kindergarten

Gingerscraps September Buffet

Are you ready for the exciting news? Queen Wild Scraps is guesting at Gingerscraps this month. Woohoo! She has two template sets in this month’s Buffet. Something Simple Vol. 4 has a lot of fun hexagon shapes. The Big Picture Vol. 3 is perfect to really show off one of your beautiful photos.

Here is my layout using Something Simple Vol. 4. Journaling reads: “We left our house in Austin at 6 AM CST when the temperature was in the 20s. We arrived at San Jose International Airport at 9:25 AM PST where the temperature was probably around 60°F. A free short VTA shuttle took us to the Santa Clara Caltrain Station. From there, we took a local train to the end of the line in San Francisco. I enjoyed the approximately 1.5 hour ride. It was relaxing and the scenery was nice. A lot of the stations we stopped at along the way had neat old buildings.”
