Photogenic

Posted on March 12, 2013 by Jennifer

Yesterday was the start of Grab-a-byte at Scrapbookbytes.com. Word Art World has six pieces you can pick up for $1 each. I used three of them.

Last October, we had a photo shoot with Kristie Woodworth Photography. I met Kristie at a Lonestar Shoebox Swap before Janette was born and she did Janette’s newborn photo shoot. This layout only has 3 of the photos from the shoot. The larger blended ones is one of my favorites from the shoot. I still have a few more layouts I want to do with the photos from the shoot and this kit.

Journaling reads: “October 13, 2012 Saturday morning, we headed to the state Capitol for a photo shoot with Kristie Woodworth Photography. The girls had fun. There was squirrel chasing, bubble catching, and lots of tickles to enjoy.”

I hope you’re having a great spring break. It has been all about family for us. James’ parents and our nephew Dawson visited this past weekend and left today. The girls and I are going to go visit my sister and her family tomorrow.

Snow is Glistenin’

Amy’s Designs has a new release today. Obviously, she loves snow as her last release was snow themed as well. I love the colors in this one and can see it being used for a totally non-snowy layout as well.

I have two layouts to share using this kit. They will be side by side in my scrapbook album. The photos are from Thanksgiving 2007. I totally enjoyed this snowfall as I went out while it was softly falling and took a ton of pictures. I narrowed it down to the 15 photos on the 2 pages.

Journaling reads: “Thanksgiving in Midland this year was pretty special. It snowed. After the big Thanksgiving meal midday, I headed outside to photograph the falling snow. Later, we went outside and took some couple photographs: Mom & Dad, Jason & Julia with Bella, and James & me.”

There hasn’t been any snow this year. Maybe next year Janette will get to experience it.

It’s a Love Thing & Top Five

Posted on February 9, 2013 by Jennifer

Today, I am going to share two new releases for Word Art World.

Top Five actually released yesterday. I had a lot of fun enhancing the word art for my layout.

It’s a Love Thing is part of the Gotta Grab It February collection. It is broken into five pieces that you can pick up for $1 each.

My first layout uses both word art from Top Five and four of the It’s a Love Thing pieces. The photo is my first photo using my new 60-inch tripod.

This second layout is from Valentine’s Day last year. It uses three of the Gotta Grab It pieces. Journaling reads “Jessica enjoyed opening the Valentine’s Day gift from Nana and Grandpoppy. She was quite excited about the kid-sized baking set.”

It is Grab-a-byte time over at Scrapbookbytes.com. Word Art World has four pieces you can pick up for $1 each. I used two of them.

Here are the other two pieces that I didn’t use.

This layout is of me and my good friend, Jillan. We’ve been friends since ninth grade. Journaling reads: Jennifer and Jillan at Jillan’s Blessing Way to celebrate the upcoming birth of her second daughter, Iris. A blessing way is a time to shower the birthing mother and baby with love and deep connection to other women and the earth.

At the North Pole

Posted on December 14, 2012 by Jennifer

It’s Friday and here is latest release from Queen Wild Scraps.

Isn’t it adorable? I love the shades of blue in addition to the traditional reds and greens. I know you are probably inundated with Christmas kits right now, but you can never have too many. Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year after all, and you may take more photos during this fun season of giving than throughout the rest of the year. At the North Pole has gift boxes with bows and tags to scrap the mayhem that is wrapping presents. It has Santa, his sleigh and red-nosed reindeer. It has elves and I know that many of you may participate in the tradition that is Elf on the Shelf. We started it this year and my three-year-old Jessica named the elf, Big Girl. You can scrap pretty much anything Christmasy with this kit. It comes with 20 – 12×12 papers, 44 elements, and a full alpha (one uppercase and 2 lowercase).

You can also pick up coordinating kraft papers

and some wordart.

Get everything in a bundle and save. And don’t forget, you can pick up the pieces for 30% off through Sunday.

I made a layout and this years’s Christmas card with this kit. The layout documents hanging the outside Christmas lights this year. I have intentions to scrap a coordinating second page.
