Colder Weather

January’s Scraps N Pieces Store Collab is all about colder weather. Colder Weather is full of the grays and blues of winter, plus reds and green. It has an awesome mix of elements: fun cold weather themed elements plus a generous assortment of generic elements, making this kit perfect for all kinds of layouts. Snow isn’t something I see a lot in central Texas, so I wasn’t sure initially what I wanted to scrap with Colder Weather. Then I saw the tree elements and I knew. I scrapped some photos from a recent overnight trip to San Antonio to visit Sea World and the Botanical Garden. Our trip was after Christmas, but Sea World was still decorated for the holidays and I knew this kit would be perfect. Not overtly Christmas-themed, yet perfect for the decorations. And that coral color worked great with the picture of the flamingos.

Journaling reads: We decided to make a quick overnight trip to San Antonio to have some family fun. In August, we had extended the girls’ free preschool summer passes to Sea World through the end of the year at a cost of $15 each, so we didn’t want that to go to waste. We drove to San Antonio and ate lunch at Sea Island Shrimp House before heading to Sea World. The ticketing area was decorated with a trio of beautiful blue trees. Jessica has become quite a photo diva and will pose for me. She even asks me to take her photo at times. Janette requires a bit more coaxing.

Holly Jolly Christmas

Today is the last day for GGI at Gotta Pixel.

Word Art World has a really cute Christmas kit, Holly Jolly Christmas, as part of GGI. You can pick it up in pieces or as the full kit.

I have two layouts. They document a trip to Home Depot in Midland over Thanksgiving for a building workshop and surprisingly a Santa visit.

A Magical Christmas, Alphabet Soup Q-T, and Quick Page Packs

First there is a mini kit add-on that coordinates with The Mouse and His Friends kit. The add-on is all about Christmas in that magical place and is called A Magical Christmas.
