My Dad spent most of the 80’s and part of the 90’s developing his film into slides. Recently, I asked him if I could borrow his boxes of slides and I’ve been scanning them like crazy. So far I’ve scanned one full and one partial carousal of slides. I was in the middle of scanning when I first saw Stars & Stripes. I had the perfect photos from that scanning session. These are from a 4th of July children’s parade almost 20 years ago. It definitely looks like my siblings and I were having fun.

Backlog of Layouts

I have a back log of layouts to share with you today. They were all created for either a speed scrap or a forum challenge.

First up is one I had intended to share on my parent’s 34th anniversary this year, but I got side tracked and forgot. It has some then and now photos. Well, sorta now photos. The now photos were from their 30th anniversary celebrations in 2010, a family party my siblings and I surprised them with and their celebratory trip.

Last Christmas I made my sister-in-law two quilted cathedral potholders and quite a few layouts I had printed out for her. I’ve decided that I’m going to give her some each Christmas. She really liked the ones I gave her this past Christmas. This layout includes a great picture of her as a baby. The blues in this kit just called to me and I found the perfect photos to scrap. Both Jessica and Janette are wearing blue and having fun playing with chalk in the front driveway. This is from last August.

We set up our tent in the upstairs game room. If it wasn’t rainy today, we might have set it up outside. We’re going to try out sleeping in the tent tonight so we can have an idea of how camping would go. I’m really excited to take the girls camping.

When I saw this kit, I immediately thought of the frogs in our backyard pond last summer. Journaling reads: This year our backyard pond was home to tadpoles. It was was fun watching the tadpoles get bigger and bigger and turn into frogs. They’re quite shy though and jump into the water to hide when you come near.2014-03-01_LO_Frogs
