Mouse in the House

Posted on by

Today, I’m showcasing a couple of different Connie Prince products.  First up the Mouse the House series. This contains two full kit:s He’s the Mouse and a girly version called She’s a Mouse. There’s an extra paper pack that coordinates with both of them. There are also flair packs, journal cards, cluster packs, pre-deco paper packs, and border clusters.cap_hesthemouse cap_shesthemouse

Kickstarters Vol 3 is part of February 2014 Template Bundle and I used one of the kickstarters in my second layout.cap_kickstartersvol3

Both of my layouts of from our January 2013 Disney cruise, specifically the day we went to Magic Kingdom. Looking at the photos makes me want to go back.

Journal on the first layout reads: Our bus ride to the Magic Kingdom left the cruise ship terminal in Port Canaveral at 7:45 AM. This allowed us to arrive right as the gates to Magic Kingdom opened for the day at 9 AM. The drive went quickly as we watched fun retro Mickey Mouse cartoons on the bus TV monitors. 2014-02-25_LO_Bus-Ride

I’m attempting to get over an ear infection. Jessica had one last Monday and she cried and was miserable until Ibuprofen kicked in. Saturday, I understood how she felt. Ear infections are not fun. I’m looking forward to my hearing going back to normal and the dizziness going away. Hopefully, you’re week is starting off better than mine.2013-11 SiggyNameBadge

Numbers Templates

Posted on by

Connie Prince had a request from a customer for numbers templates. Here’s what she came up with. They’re available now at Scrapbookbytes, Gotta Pixel and Gingerscraps.

Here’s what I came up with using the templates. I used both the 1 and the 3 template to make this fun layout about my nephew’s 13th birthday celebration. Journaling reads: Dawson was lucky enough to have multiple celebrations this year. The last one was just family and held at Granny and Pawpaw’s house when we visited Midland.

Project Life 2014: March

Posted on by

Today, Connie Prince is releasing the latest in her monthly series, Project Life 2014: March. I love the bright colors and the word art.2014-02-21_cap_P2014Mar 2014-02-21_cap_P2014MarMega2014-02-21_cap_P2014MarAll I wanted to use photos from March and this month’s Topsy Turvy Template challenge, so I went back to 2010 to find the photos I decided to use. Jessica was so little back then. Journaling reads: Our daily routine included a walk around the neighborhood. We’d stop at the playground first so Jessica could swing a little. Then I’d walk for a good 30-45 min. She often started her afternoon nap before we made it home.2014-02-21_LO_Jessica-Walk

Play Ball

Posted on by

Connie Prince has a new This or That collection available today. It is perfect for all the baseball and softball lovers in your family. She’s got a special deal going on this first week where you get the journal cards free if you purchase the big bundle that has both softball and Baseball kits in it. You can also get bundles specific to just baseball or just softball if you’d rather have just one.
2014-02-14_cap_playball_0214-end02202014-02-14_cap_extrasI have a layout using small photos and lots of white space. This is primarily because these photos were taken with my old Palm Treo, prior to getting a smart phone with a good camera. The quality of these photos are not that great unless they’re small. I love my family and this was a fun memory of going to watch the Rangers play after we helped my sister move back in 2005.

A Wing & A Prayer

Posted on by

It’s Grab-a-Byte time at Scrapbookbytes. That means one color swatch, lots of fun designs.

GAB

Connie Prince designed a beautiful kit with a religious theme. However, it is a very versatile kit. I used it for a wedding layout. Each pack is $1 today through February 16th.cap_FebGABSale

Here’s a closer look at the kit itself (elements and papers).

cap_awingandaprayerJames and I just bought a new scanner. It arrived Saturday. Yesterday afternoon, Jessica helped me scan a number of things. Quality control, right. One of the things we scanned, was album of photos from James’ parents’ wedding. I felt this kit had the perfect colors to complement the photos. The photo of Olivia with her bridesmaids show it better as they wore blue; but I decided to scrap the cake photos first. Don’t they look young? This year, they’ll celebrate their 37th anniversary.2014-02-10_LO_Cake
