Walt Disney World 2014 Layouts

Posted on August 26, 2014 by Jennifer

One of my favorite things about our recent Disney trip was the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth show at Epcot right at closing.

I especially liked this photo of my sweet girls watching the show, but it was rather dark. So I used the Auto Smart Fix to enhance the image.

This is the layout I created with it. It was my week 3 entry for the annual Scrap It to Win It contest over at Scraps N Pieces.

Ellies: SNP Collab – This is My Country; Magical Scraps Galore – Rock On; Queen Wild Scraps – Concerto; Scraps N Pieces – Rock On
Papers: Magical Scraps Galore – Rock On; Scraps N Pieces – Lights, Camera, Action; Scraps N Pieces – Rock On

Here’s another layout. This covers our plane ride to Orlando.

Lake Side

Posted on August 7, 2014 by Jennifer

Queen Wild Scraps has a fabulous new release today. Lake Side is perfect for all your outdoor water fun. You can scrap all those boating, tubing, and swimming photos, plus there are enough non-themed elements to really use it outside the theme box. Lahni also created some fun coordinating journal cards. You can pick it up for 40% today through August 15th. Plus the journal cards are free with purchase during the introductory period.

Here’s my layout. It is a double page spread. The photos are from our recent Disney World vacation.

Let the Magic Begin Journal Cards

Posted on July 24, 2014 by Jennifer

You might remember that I had the opportunity to guest for Ladybug Scraps when she release Let the Magic Begin. Today, she is releasing coordinating journal cards. There are four sets. You can buy them individually or together as a bundle.

I have three layouts using the journal cards. They’re all from our 2013 day at Magic Kingdom.

Now I See

Connie Prince has created the cutest collection for the July Gotta Grab It Sale at Gotta Pixel and the sale starts today! The core GGI packs are on sale $1 each. A convenient “get them all” bundle is available, too. The additional coordinating packs are on sale for $1.25 each as well. I’m only sharing the previews of the bundle and elements pack. Be sure to check out all the packs at Connie’s Gotta Pixel store.

I had my yearly eye exam last week and decided it was time Jessica had her first eye exam too. That allowed for some great photos to scrap with this kit.

First up is about Jessica’s exam. Journaling reads: I felt that it was about time for Jessica to have her first eye exam, so I scheduled an appointment for her directly after my exam. At first she was a little unsure, but she did great! Her vision is a touch far-sighted, but is typical for kids her age and she will probably outgrow it.

Next up is a layout with Janette trying on frames. Journaling reads: Jessica and I had our eyes dilated as part of our eye exams. While we waited for the drops to work their dilation magic, we went out to the waiting area to check out frames to pass the time. Janette really liked this pink pair. She kept calling them sunglasses, the only kind of glasses she normally wears, and wanted to take them home. I told her she couldn’t, but she could take home the roll-up style sunglasses they give you after dilating your eyes. That placated her.

Hold On Tight

What is your favorite ride at the happiest place on earth? Do you like crazy roller coasters and the twisting tea cups or is a relaxed safari more your style? This bright and cheerful kit will help you remember your favorite moments from any amusement park, but the elements are specific to some of the most popular rides at the most beloved family destination. Enjoy scrapping your last vacation with this kit! You can get this kit at both SNP or MyMemories the first week of release for only $3.00.

Images are linked to each store.

I was really excited when I first saw this kit. I still have a lot of photos to scrap from our January 2013 Disney Cruise, plus we’re going to Florida soon for a fun-filled Disney World vacation. I have 2 layouts, one of which is a double page, to share today. First up is all about the Pirates of the Caribbean. Journaling reads: “This was the one ride I had to ride since Pirates of the Caribbean is my all time favorite movie. I kinda knew Jessica wouldn’t like it, but we all went on it anyway. As predicted, Jessica wasn’t a fan. After fussing in the line Janette ended up falling asleep during the ride, which was good, since she needed a second nap today.”

Next up is a double page about the Jungle Cruise. Journaling reads: After the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, we headed over to the Jungle Cruise, where our fast past tickets allowed us to get on the ride almost immediately. Janette started off the ride still asleep, but woke up near the end. The animatronic animals were amazing! The tour guide was pretty corny. We all enjoyed ourselves on this ride.”
