Let the Magic Begin Journal Cards

You might remember that I had the opportunity to guest for Ladybug Scraps when she release Let the Magic Begin. Today, she is releasing coordinating journal cards. There are four sets. You can buy them individually or together as a bundle.

I have three layouts using the journal cards. They’re all from our 2013 day at Magic Kingdom.

At the Pool

Word Art World recently released a great new word art pack. It is perfect for all those pool photos from the summer.

I have a two-page layout using three of the word art. I used one for the title, one for a subtitle for the photo of Jason and one as kind of a watermark for the journal mat. These photos are from Labor Day weekend. Journaling reads: Both Saturday and Sunday after naptime (quiet time), we drove to Jason’s house so the kiddos and some of the adults could go swimming. It was really fun to watch all the cousins having a ball splashing and swimming. Cameron really enjoyed using the snorkel mask. Jessica was utilizing her newly acquired swimming skills. Janette just floated about. Trevor had fun jumping into the pool. Aspen thought it quite fun when Aunt Sarah lifted her up in the air and she jumped. Brian only swam on Sunday and he and James had fun tossing two balls simultaneously.

Let the Magic Begin

Ladybug Scraps has a fabulous new Disney inspired kit out today and I was lucky enough to be able to guest CT for it.

There is also coordinating word art.

There is also an alpha add-on that contains three additional alphas: red, black, yellow (the red is in the kit).

You can pick up all three pieces in a bundle to save money. All of it is currently 50% off in celebration of the release.

I made two layouts to showcase this magical kit and extras. Both layouts contain photos from our Disney cruise back in January. The first one is all about Fish Extenders. Journaling reads: “I didn’t find out about fish extenders until after our ship’s deadline. However, there were three other moms in the same boat, so we made our own fish extenders group. Instead of giving one small token to each cabin or cabin occupants, we all ended up giving multiple gifts so each day there was something fun for Jessica to find in the hanger I sewed up quickly the week we departed. Jessica really enjoyed delivering the goodies to our FE buddies. Logan (5yo), his Granny, mom Michelle and dad Matt were in cabins 7038 and 7039 across the hall from each other. Spencer (5yo), mom Chris, and dad Robert were in cabin 7624. Brody (4yo), mom Tapestri and dad John were in cabin 5633. And we were in cabin 2608.

The second layout has the boarding picture that the on-board photographers took. I ended up purchasing the 10-image CD. Journaling reads: “The alarms went off at 6:30 and 6:45. James and I got dressed and finished loading the van. Then we got Jessica and Janette out of bed and put in the van and hit the road. They didn’t stay asleep. We stopped in Bastrop for a pit stop and the girls got dressed. Our audio for the drive consisted of Doc McStuffins, a library Dora movie and part of Cinderella. Once we arrived in Galveston, we stopped at Whataburger for an early lunch. Then James dropped the girls, the luggage and I off at the cruise terminal while he parked the van at the Port of Galveston cruise parking. I really like this family photo taken during boarding.

A Few Layouts

This last one was also made during a speed scrap. The circular grid was provided as part of the speed scrap. Journaling reads: “Jessica loves the Wild Animal Baby magazine she receives in the mail each month. She was very excited about the May 2012 issue. In addition to having Zoey the Zebra on the cover, there was a picture with instructions of a Zebra Pudding Snack in the activity idea section. Each new issue becomes a current favorite thing to read at story time and each time we read this issue, she would point to the Zebra Pudding Snack and say she wanted to eat that. I made her one with leftover ingredients from the trifle I made for the pool party at Uncle Jason & Aunt Julia’s house the weekend of Janette’s baptism. She shared it with her Daddy and absolutely loved it.”
