North Meets South Studios is in the Designer Spotlight over at Gotta Pixel. They’re giving away a super cute kit in pieces, a little every day from June 30-July 9th. Here’s a look at the complete kit. Isn’t it cute?

I made a fun layout about my homemade laundry detergent. The recipe for it can be found here and trial size version here. Journaling reads: A recipe on a blog called One Good Thing by Jillee estimated supplies for a year’s worth of laundry detergent was only $30, so I decided to give it a try. When testing it out, Jessica knocked on the window and said ‘Go,’ Janette watched her do that a few times and then started doing it also. It was so cute. 6/20/2013

Vacation Bible School

I’m very excited to be guest creative team member for Connie Prince for the month of July. I was able to get started a little early with this wonderful North Meets South Studios (Connie’s collab name with Trixie Scraps Designs) kit titled Vacation Bible School. The timing was perfect as we had Vacation Bible School at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church the week before last.

Here’s my first layout using this fun kit. It is about my volunteer efforts at VBS. Journaling reads: “This was my second year as the leader of preschool crafts for Vacation Bible School at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church. My two helpers, McKenna and Rachel (middle school students), and I would take our tote bin with the days craft from classroom to classroom. During our break we would do prep work for a future craft or finish up the crafts (like apply the contact paper to make the placemats water resistant). On the last day, we distributed the Everyone Fun Fair bags filled with all the crafts.”
