Word Art World recently released a fabulous word art set that I know I will use a lot.

I’ve already used it once to create the first layout for the Castaway Cay day of our Disney cruise.

In Loving Memory

We’ve all been there.  Unfortunately we have all lost somebody we care about deeply.  In fact Dawna just recently lost a dear girlfriend who bravely fought cancer for 3 years.   That is what made her realize there is a real need for kits like

In Loving Memory

This kit is very tasteful and is appropriate for people of most faiths.   There are 34 elements including a blank headstone for personalization.  The 16  papers are understated and will allow for a variety of layouts.  Also included is a full alpha of uppercase and lowercase letters and numbers that look like polished marble.

Although I hope you won’t need this kit for a long time to come, it’s nice to know its here waiting for you when you do.  You can find it at Scraps N Pieces and Heritage Scrap.   The kit is on sale for 30% off until May 18th.

Look at the beautiful layout I made using In Loving Memory:

Digikit: True North Scraps – In Loving Memory
Template: Connie Prince – Ready for School
Font: Charlemagne STD (headstone); Angelina (journal); Another Typewriter (obituary)

The text on the right is my Grandma’s obituary, which my Dad and I actually collaborated to write. The journaling in the circle reads: “When my parents moved Grandma from her home in El Paso to a nursing home in Midland, I was quite happy, because it meant I would get to see her more often. However, Alzheimer’s is a really horrible disease and the last few times I saw her, it was really hard and I cried when we left Manor Park. When she passed away, I knew she was in a better place. I was sad that I had to miss her funeral as Janette’s due date was 2.5 weeks from the funeral and travelling was out of the question. As it was, Janette came early and my parents actually flew from Austin for the graveside service.”

Some of the North Stars made freebies to coordinate with this kit.  If you visit their blogs you can pick them up: Lynn and Robin.

There is SO much happening this weekend, but I hope you will make some time to join me at SNP and HS for some great sales and goodies! First of all, let’s see what’s happening at SNP.

Don’t spend all your money at all the other sites before you check out SNP — the entire store is on sale for 50% off! Plus there’s lots of fun events:

And over at Heritage Scrap, I have some real steals for you! First of all, True North Scraps’ entire store is on sale for 45% off!

And that’s not all — I have an amazing value for you! In fact, it’s so good, that I can’t include it in the rest of the 45% off sale. True North Scraps is releasing 4 full-sized kits after NSD, all valued at $5 or more. But for NSD, Dawna’s bundled them up in a Mystery Box and you get all FOUR kits for only $5! Look at it like this — Buy One, Get 3 FREE; or 4 kits at 75% off, or $1.25 a kit!! Either way you can’t beat that deal!

Make sure you check your stash before you buy, because these kits have been released in Scraps N Pieces and My Memories already.

HAPPY iNSD — I hope you get lots of great bargains!!
