Today started Bits N Pieces over at Scraps N Pieces. True North Scraps has four pieces you can snag for $1 each. I used all four of them in my layout.

My layout uses photos I took with my smart phone last Monday. Janette is really loving holding her sister’s hand. And for the most part, Jessica likes it too.2013-06-01_LO_Holding-Hands

We have a busy weekend planned. Jessica had her swim lesson this morning and on Monday, we’re having friends come over for lunch and then we’re meeting some other friends for dinner. Of course, we’ll have to remember why we get to have a 3-day weekend. All gave some. Some gave all. I might try to scrap a layout with one of the soldiers in my family.

Blossoms of My Heart

It’s the 21st of May and the 21st means Release Day for TNS! This time, Dawna made a lovely feminine kit in pinks and purples, with a hint of green and yellow thrown in for good measure. Did you take your mother out for Mother’s Day? This kit will be perfect for scrapping those photos with.

Blossoms of My Heart is heavy on the flowers but that’s what makes it such a great feminine kit. However, there are plenty of other elements too: frames, ribbons and bows, hearts, doilies, and even a butterfly scatter flitting over a glittery swirl. The 16 papers are mostly patterned, but there are 4 glitter papers in the pack for those times you want a more solid paper. There is also a super-cute alpha included with the kit!

In addition, there is a coordinating pack of 15 Swiss Dot papers available separately.

Both the kit and the swiss dot papers are on sale for 30% off right now.

The North Stars were so excited to work with Blossoms of My Heart.

I haven’t had time to make a layout yet, but I will posting one soon.

As usual, the North Stars wanted you to have a couple beautiful gifts to go along with the kit!  Visit their blogs and collect them: poki, Karrie, Robin and Kandice
