Outstanding October

Can you believe that October is already half way over? It seems like yesterday was still summer. Then I blinked and we are definitely experiencing autumn. Queen Wild Scraps has the latest in her monthly series releasing today. Outstanding October has a beautiful color palette. Don’t you love that hint of aqua/teal?

There are coordinating journal cards. I love the L.M. Montgomery quote card.

Kandice has a fun peak-a-boo look going to her layout. I love the fun paisley paper she has in the peak-a-boo spots.

Kendra used it make a flyer for her children’s school fundraiser.

Kristal scrapped a traditional October event, the visit to the pumpkin patch.

A Day at the Museum

It’s Grab-a-Byte time at Scrapbookbytes. Word Art World has six packs you can pick up for $1 each. She came up with a fun museum theme and it is totally adorable, especially since I love to visit museums when we travel.

I have two fun coordinating layouts to share with you using A Day at the Museum. They contain photos from our trip to Chicago back in 2005. We spent a day at the Museum of Science and Industry. I took 80 photos that day and now I have scrapped 8 of them. James and I really enjoyed it and it is definitely a museum I want to visit again some day.

Yesterday, Dawna will celebrate her 28th wedding anniversary with her fabulous husband. Then on October 14th, Canada celebrates Thanksgiving. What does this mean for True North Scraps? It means one BIG sale!!

Autumn on My Mind

Autumn is definitely on my mind. I can’t wait until we get some fall weather, although I’m sure it’s still a few weeks away for central Texas. Yesterday’s high was 82°F and it has to be under 80°F for me to consider it fall. We did dip into the 50s for the low, so we’re getting close. This month I had the chance to work with a kit from Grace Blossoms 4 You. It is called Autumn on My Mind. It is a fun fall kit with lots of colorful leaves and pretty flowers. Today is the last day to pick it up on sale for 50% off.

I have three layouts to share using this kit. The first is a school photo of my sister-in-law.
