I really like the journal cards in this collection and wanted to make sure and use at least one. This first page is from a trip James and I took to San Francisco in 2011. This page documents one of the yummy restaurants we visited.

This double-page spread is from a weekend getaway we took to Galveston after we attended James’ friend Ray’s wedding. We ended the getaway by visiting the beach.

I love this kit! Unfortunately, I haven’t been to Pandora yet, so I had to think outside of the box for what to scrap. I ended up choosing these photos from a visit to the Rainforest Cafe in Galveston.

New York New York

Posted on April 21, 2018 by Jennifer

If your heart belongs to “the city that never sleeps,” you absolutely need to get New York, New York. This kit perfectly captures the essence of New York City: bold and busy patterns that are always in motion, slightly gritty solid papers, and a shiny chrome alpha. But it’s the elements that really bring it home: Broadway, Wall Street, pizza, hot dogs, taxi cabs, the Statue of Liberty, FDNY memorabilia… It’s enough to make you put the “I <3 NY” badge on every page. Included is a pack of ‘fun fact’ tags for some of the most famous landmarks, making it easy to tell the history and still save space for telling your stories. As always, there are plenty of more traditional buttons, banners, flowers, and fasteners for mixing and matching with other kits if you don’t have a Big Apple trip on the horizon. If New York City stories are filling your to-scrap folder, make a night of it and jazz them up right with New York, New York.

Kit is 50% off at Gingerscraps and My Memories this week.

I had the perfect photos to scrap with this kit. It’s hard to believe that this trip was 20 years ago. It was so fun. This was back when I purchased quite a few postcards when I traveled. Now with digital photography, I don’t purchase post cards as much, unless I actually mail them.

Singing in the Rain

Posted on April 7, 2018 by Jennifer

Whether you prefer to spend rainy days jumping in puddles or watching the weather from inside, Scraps N Pieces has you covered. Singing in the Rain is their tribute to the wonderful weather springtime brings. This bold, primary-colored kit is packed full of patterned papers that set the stage for your scrapping. Rain drops and umbrella motifs feature heavily, along with rain clouds, a raincoat and rain boots, and plenty of gorgeous ephemera. Singing in the Rain also contains some fun thematic elements dedicated to the musical movie of the same name for those days when you have a “glorious feeling” you need to scrap. So whether the weather has you singing or snuggling in to scrap, it’s a perfect day for Singing in the Rain.

Grab this kit during the first week of release for 1/2 price. Preview is linked to our Gingerscraps store.

I knew what I would be scrapping as soon as I saw that Lori and Heidi were doing a Singing in the Rain kit for their musical kit this month. We took a bunch of photos with the Singing in the Rain photo prop in Hollywood Studios.
