My Life November

Posted on by

As the year winds down into a cozy end, gratitude and happiness are on everyone’s mind – along with turkey, holiday plans, and anticipating snow. My Life… November, the latest kit in Scraps N Pieces’ monthly series, reflects upon the way November makes us feel and makes it easier to get pages scrapped while snuggling up. The warm, subdued color palette feels like a warm fire or gathering around the Thanksgiving table and the elements pair perfectly. Highlights include turkey, gourds, pumpkins, pies, Pilgrims, fall leaves, and vintage ephemera. As always, there is a plethora of perfectly themed patterned papers, and a warm wooden alpha. If you’re short of time, this amazing kit also comes with pre-made clustered frames, a quickpage, and a calendar – all things to be thankful for! Use My Life… November to scrap all your gratitude this month and free time to make more memories.

Bundle and kit on sale this week at all of Scraps N Pieces’ stores

Ohana

Posted on by

Ohana means ‘family’ and you’ll certainly feel like part of the community with this tropical kit from Scraps N Pieces. Bright, bold artwork conjures up images of an island paradise, perfect for scrapping tropical vacations (or dreams of tropical vacations). Bright colors and wood feature heavily in this kit, with traditional wood carvings and a wooden alpha featured alongside hippie surfer vans, surfboards, and coconut drinks. Traditional hula dancers, floral shirts, tiki torches, and palm trees add more tropical touches. Two big packs of papers, patterned and solid, provide a great background for your featured photos. Whether you’re traveling to Hawaii, hosting a luau in your backyard, or just watching Lilo & Stitch for the hundredth time, you can scrap your story with Ohana.

The individual pieces and template pack are on sale for $1 through the 7th of July. The full kit is on sale for $3 through the 7th as well. Kit is exclusively at Gingerscraps this month and will be at Scraps N Pieces and My Memories next month.

No automatic alt text available.

Of course, I wanted to scrap some photos from our Tahitian vacation. Scrapping it has brought back some really fun memories. These two layouts document dinner at Bloody Mary’s, a Bora Bora institution since 1979.

Travelogue North Carolina

Travelogue North Carolina isn’t a new installment in Connie Prince’s travel series, but I was lucky enough to get to work with it this week. Available at Ginger Scraps and The Digi Chick!

We traveled last summer to North Carolina and I had lots of pictures to choose from, but I chose these photos of the farmhouse at the Mountain Farm Museum, which is adjacent to the Oconaluftee Visitor Center of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

I’m sad that my month guesting for Connie Prince is coming to a close. Hopefully, I’ll be guesting again soon.

Summer: 4th of July

One of my favorite collections each month is Connie’s monthly Grab Bags!  You get 6 brand new coordinating packs for only $5!  While you get a preview on the blog, Connie sets a full reveal of the grab bag in the store so you know what you are getting before you purchase.  This month the theme is 4th of July and I bet many of you will love this collection! Available at Ginger Scraps and The Digi Chick. Today is the last day of the grab bag before it is separated into individual packs.

I initially had planned to scrap some pictures from last year’s 4th of July, but then I realized I had already scrapped the ones of Jessica and Janette and I really wanted to use the red, white, blue and cute too word art. So I had to go back to 2010 for some photos that worked. I really love how the first layout turned out. I then had to make a second layout to scrap some additional photos from the same photo shoot.
